Highlights from this day
  • nhs_pathway_nell — whats the top licensed dose, 15 or does it go higher 22:43
  • mcg_not_mg — the GIP explanation for easier nausea is plausible and i still treat it as a story not a fact 22:48
  • mg_per_ml — switched from 0.5 semaglutide and started at 2.5, took the slow route, never regretted it, still working it out 23:30
  • mg_per_ml — coming off semaglutide, is there a conversion or do i restart at 2.5 23:33
  • night_pin — at 5 my appetite is gone entirely, did anyone go down rather than up 23:55
FT

went back to semaglutide after 6 months because the cost difference mattered more than the GI, happy to be corrected

switched last year

changed my mind about needing 15, i was chasing a number rather than an outcome

easier gi for me

NA

the switch felt like a step down at first and then caught up around week 34

🤝4

at 2.5 my appetite went completely and i dropped back a step, eating nothing isnt a win

TL

SURMOUNT-OSA was the sleep apnoea trial and it is not a weight headline however its quoted

titrate slow

i sat at 7.5 for 1 months and never needed more, which is where the folklore comes from

did anyone go past 15 and was there any point to it

sorry to jump in the GI difference held for me right up to 15, which isnt what a couple of people here found

TL

dual agonist, GIP as well as GLP-1, thats the whole difference in one line

did anyone find the GI easier than semaglutide at an equivalent effect

RO

is the 15 vial the common one or do people use 30

EV

the sweet spot argument is really about effect per side effect, not a magic number, ask me again in a month

12 did nothing extra over 10 for me and that still holds a year later

i went to 15 and came back to 10, more suppression wasnt more useful for me

there is no clean conversion between the two, anyone giving you a ratio is guessing

coming back to this did going from 2.5 semaglutide to 5 of this feel like a step down for anyone

😂4🎉7

i log everything and my appetite curve looks flatter across the week than my semaglutide log did

licensed top is 15 weekly, past that is not a licensed dose and nobody here can tell you what it does

7.5 gang

🎉3

how many weeks at 7.5 before you knew it was enough

GIP plus GLP-1

FT

no gap when i switched, took the last semaglutide dose and started this a week later

GI was noticeably easier for me than semaglutide at what felt like the same appetite effect

EM

5 was where i first noticed it properly, 2.5 did almost nothing for me

the GIP explanation for easier nausea is plausible and i still treat it as a story not a fact

SURMOUNT is weight

wk 1-4 2.5mg
wk 5-8 5.0mg
wk 9-20 7.5mg <- stayed here
wk 21-24 10.0mg (no extra benefit for me)
wk 25+ 7.5mg (came back down)

Reminder for eight_mm: dose day is today. Set 5 days ago.

EM

plateaued at 33 weeks the same way i did on semaglutide, so i doubt its compound specific

[edited]

the sweet spot thing is survivorship, the people it worked for stayed and said so

ok so back after 6 months, do i restart at 2.5 or pick up near where i left off

72 weeks, tirzepatide 5, 10 and 15mg against placebo.

5 was where i first noticed it properly, 2.5 did almost nothing for me

im at 12 and thinking about 1.7, did anyone gain anything from that step

the 10 vial in 0.5ml gives 5mg/ml which puts 1 on 5 units, nice round numbers, i could be wrong

🤝8💀1

switched from 0.5 semaglutide and started at 2.5, took the slow route, never regretted it, still working it out

⚠️15

is 7.5 really the sweet spot or is that just channel folklore

coming off semaglutide, is there a conversion or do i restart at 2.5

🙏10🎉17
NP

the 2.5 to 5 step was the roughest one for me and everything after was easier

NP

at 5 my appetite is gone entirely, did anyone go down rather than up
