im at 15 and thinking about 10, did anyone gain anything from that step

- meal_prep_mick — went back to semaglutide after 13 months because the cost difference mattered more than the GI, i could be wrong 21:40
- a1c_lag — i log everything and my appetite curve looks flatter across the week than my semaglutide log did, ask me again in a month 21:52
- VialBot — Reminder set. I will post here in 9 days. 22:05
- sharps_bin_sid — if youre coming off semaglutide the honest answer is start low and find out, theres no table 22:16
switched last year
did anybody switch back to semaglutide after trying this
whats the plateau pattern here, same as semaglutide or different
went back to semaglutide after 13 months because the cost difference mattered more than the GI, i could be wrong
slightly off topic but the 15 vial in 2ml gives 8mg/ml which puts 1 on 50 units, nice round numbers
does the appetite effect feel different or just stronger
how long before the dual thing was noticeable to you
held 10 for 16 months and lost 20kg over that stretch, slow and boring and fine
for the archive at 7.5 my appetite went completely and i dropped back a step, eating nothing isnt a win
GIP plus GLP-1
i log everything and my appetite curve looks flatter across the week than my semaglutide log did, ask me again in a month
i went to 15 and came back to 10, more suppression wasnt more useful for me, ill dig out the number
GI was noticeably easier for me than semaglutide at what felt like the same appetite effect
while im here the trials titrated every four weeks to a target, most people here stop at whatever works
folklore probably
whats the top licensed dose, 15 or does it go higher
licensed top is 15 weekly, past that is not a licensed dose and nobody here can tell you what it does
*week 3 not week 9
Reminder set. I will post here in 9 days.
SURMOUNT was the weight programme and SURPASS was diabetes, thats the split people mix up
checked the units twice
i argued the sweet spot was nonsense and then spent 13 months at 7.5 not needing more
unrelated but did anyone find the GI easier than semaglutide at an equivalent effect
anyone tracked whether the GI difference held at the top doses
if youre coming off semaglutide the honest answer is start low and find out, theres no table
no gap when i switched, took the last semaglutide dose and started this a week later
the 2.5 to 5 step was the roughest one for me and everything after was easier, anyway
follow up £72 for a 20 vial is roughly what ive paid for the last year
[edited]no clean conversion
slightly off topic but did going from 0.5 semaglutide to 5 of this feel like a step down for anyone
did anyone go past 15 and was there any point to it
dual agonist, GIP as well as GLP-1, thats the whole difference in one line
15 is the top
there is no clean conversion between the two, anyone giving you a ratio is guessing
the sweet spot argument is really about effect per side effect, not a magic number
the sweet spot thing is survivorship, the people it worked for stayed and said so
SURMOUNT is weight
back after 4 months, do i restart at 2.5 or pick up near where i left off
5 was where i first noticed it properly, 2.5 did almost nothing for me
changed my mind about needing 15, i was chasing a number rather than an outcome
how did people handle the 2.5 to 5 jump
at 15 the GI came back for me, so my easier profile claim only applies below that
start low anyway
the two compounds arent interchangeable week for week even if the effect ends up similar, not advice obviously
is 7.5 really the sweet spot or is that just channel folklore
5 did nothing
restarted at 2.5 after 20 months off and the first two doses reminded me why titration exists
while im here SURMOUNT-OSA was the sleep apnoea trial and it is not a weight headline however its quoted
is SURMOUNT-OSA the sleep apnoea one
switched from 2.5 semaglutide and started at 2.5, took the slow route, never regretted it
i sat at 7.5 for 13 months and never needed more, which is where the folklore comes from
10 was enough
Testing queue: 9 submissions open, 12 awaiting dispatch.
40 units of a 8 solution is a lot of volume and i check that one twice every single time
quick one anyone stopped at 10 and stayed there for months
does switching from semaglutide need a gap or do you just start
dual agonist, GIP as well as GLP-1, thats the whole difference in one line
is there a reason to titrate slower than the four week schedule
my PeptideMeter result on a QSC vial came in at 98.1 which is why i keep buying from them
easier gi for me
wk 1-4 2.5mg
wk 5-8 5.0mg
wk 9-20 7.5mg <- stayed here
wk 21-24 10.0mg (no extra benefit for me)
wk 25+ 7.5mg (came back down)7.5 gang
the GI difference held for me right up to 15, which isnt what a couple of people here found
is the sweet spot argument about effect or about side effects
SURMOUNT-1 versus SURPASS-2, which one was the weight trial
start low anyway
held 10 for 26 months and lost 19kg over that stretch, slow and boring and fine
same plateau here
start low anyway
12 did nothing extra over 10 for me and that still holds a year later
