a private prescription in the uk was dispensable at any pharmacy willing to take it, in my experience of it

for the archive border force stopped a parcel of mine and sent a letter, and that was the whole of it. no follow up and no knock at the door
nobody here can tell you what your gp will do. the variation between practices is the whole story in england
