update from 7 months ago: my clinic price went up by $185 and the supply steadied in the same month

update on the earlier thing a member in dublin said their pharmacy supply was steadier than mine in england, which surprised both of us
the criteria included a bmi threshold plus comorbidities when i read them, and they have been revised since, so check rather than trust me
i paid €38 a month at a private clinic in 2024 and the price went up twice while i was with them

unlicensed in mhra terms means there is no uk marketing authorisation for that product. it is not the same as illegal and it is not the same as approved
i was wrong in here about what unlicensed meant for about six months until somebody sorted me out
wales was reported in here as slower to get started and steadier once you were in, and that was second hand, still working it out

the shortage was upstream of the pharmacies as far as anyone here could tell, and shouting at counter staff achieved nothing

i rang eleven pharmacies and the twelfth had it. that was one winter, and it is not a strategy

a private prescription in the uk was dispensable at any pharmacy willing to take it, in my experience of it
the mhra publishes supply notices. whether your pharmacy has read them is an entirely separate matter
i would not repeat any of the nhs criteria as current fact, they were revised at least once since i last read them
everything in this channel about pricing is a snapshot. read any figure here as the month somebody typed it
