does anyone know whether the shortage list is public
the tier 3 referral needed my gp to actually make it, and that turned out to be harder than meeting the criteria, thats one data point
as of when i last looked, nhs access ran through specialist weight management services and the criteria were tight, thats just me

sorry to jump in i rang eleven pharmacies and the twelfth had it. that was one winter, and it is not a strategy, i think
the shortage was upstream of the pharmacies as far as anyone here could tell, and shouting at counter staff achieved nothing, thats one data point
is the irish price genuinely higher or is that a currency thing
gp said they cant prescribe it at all, is that national or a local budget thing

there was a two year limit in the nhs guidance i read. what happened at the end of it was not clear to me then and may be clearer now
when i checked last year my local specialist service was quoting eighteen months to two years, and that was for a first appointment

i have never been asked for id at a pharmacy for this and other members here have, so it seems to be down to the individual pharmacist
nobody here can tell you what your gp will do. the variation between practices is the whole story in england, happy to be corrected
the mhra publishes supply notices. whether your pharmacy has read them is an entirely separate matter
anyone in scotland or wales finding it different from england
