AN

i rang eleven pharmacies and the twelfth had it. that was one winter, and it is not a strategy

just a letter

BR

when i checked last year my local specialist service was quoting eighteen months to two years, and that was for a first appointment

ring more pharmacies

⚠️8🤝12

border force stopped a parcel of mine and sent a letter, and that was the whole of it. no follow up and no knock at the door

🔥5👀6

does the two year wait figure people quote come from anywhere real

everything in this channel about pricing is a snapshot. read any figure here as the month somebody typed it

VB

Reminder for bea_reconstitutes: dose day is today. Set 6 days ago.

unlicensed in mhra terms means there is no uk marketing authorisation for that product. it is not the same as illegal and it is not the same as approved

that was last year

did anyone get through the nhs route and how long was it end to end

BS

nobody here can tell you what your gp will do. the variation between practices is the whole story in england

🙏1😂4

unrelated but an irish member told me their out of pocket cost was noticeably higher than the uk equivalent when they compared in 2024

GB

a member in dublin said their pharmacy supply was steadier than mine in england, which surprised both of us

🎉7⚠️4

the criteria included a bmi threshold plus comorbidities when i read them, and they have been revised since, so check rather than trust me

quick one there was a two year limit in the nhs guidance i read. what happened at the end of it was not clear to me then and may be clearer now

while im here the online clinics vary enormously in how much they check. one wanted a video call and photographs and one wanted almost nothing

LL

vat was not charged on the private prescription i saw, but i am the wrong person to ask about tax

AN

sorry to jump in driving never came up for me at all and i would ask a clinician rather than take my word on it

private clinic quoted me €94 a month, is that about right or am i being had
the mhra publishes supply notices. whether your pharmacy has read them is an entirely separate matter

AN

i have never been asked for id at a pharmacy for this and other members here have, so it seems to be down to the individual pharmacist

member reported only

reported by members, own currency, not comparable directly
  private clinic, UK      145 - 220
  statutory, DE 10 co-pay
  private script, DE      180 - 240
  pharmacy, PL 95 - 140
  pharmacy, SE 210 - 260

update from 2 months ago: my clinic price went up by £185 and the supply steadied in the same month

📉11👀9

anyone in ireland willing to compare what theyre paying

how many pharmacies do people ring before giving up for the day

⚠️4❤️2

the private quotes i collected last spring ran from about 130 to about 250 a month depending on dose, and that will have moved since, thats just me

check, dont trust me

VV

is the pharmacy supply gap the manufacturer or the wholesalers

BS

i paid $185 a month at a private clinic in 2024 and the price went up twice while i was with them

VB

Testing queue: 6 submissions open, 102 awaiting dispatch.

GB

a private prescription in the uk was dispensable at any pharmacy willing to take it, in my experience of it

is vat charged on a private prescription in the uk

northern ireland has two sets of rules doesnt it, how does that work in practice
off label and unlicensed get used interchangeably in here and they are different. off label is a licensed product used outside its licence

while im here did anyone get a tier 3 referral without a bmi over 35
