Highlights from this day
  • bea_reconstitutes — the seizure letters members have had here have been letters and nothing else, but that is our sample rather than a guarantee, not advice obviously 20:55
  • private_script_pri — ok so whats the position on driving, is there anything anyone had to declare i paid $94 a month at a private clinic in 2024 and the price went up twice while i was… 20:58
  • chlorhex — the shortage was upstream of the pharmacies as far as anyone here could tell, and shouting at counter staff achieved nothing, ill dig out the number 21:06
  • bea_reconstitutes — i was wrong in here about what unlicensed meant for about six months until somebody sorted me out 21:35
PS

update on the earlier thing everything in this channel about pricing is a snapshot. read any figure here as the month somebody typed it

supply was upstream

the seizure letters members have had here have been letters and nothing else, but that is our sample rather than a guarantee, not advice obviously

PS

ok so whats the position on driving, is there anything anyone had to declare
i paid $94 a month at a private clinic in 2024 and the price went up twice while i was with them

has anyone been asked for id at a pharmacy counter for this

i would not repeat any of the nhs criteria as current fact, they were revised at least once since i last read them

VV

border force stopped a parcel of mine and sent a letter, and that was the whole of it. no follow up and no knock at the door

off label and unlicensed get used interchangeably in here and they are different. off label is a licensed product used outside its licence

what happens at the end of the two years on the nhs route

cheapest legitimate route i found was a pharmacy led online service, and cheapest is only one axis of that decision

VV

genuine question member reported tier 3 waits in england were all over the place, from nine months to nearly three years, as of about a year ago

a private prescription in the uk was dispensable at any pharmacy willing to take it, in my experience of it

VB

Inter-lab diff for lot G-0641: 96.8% vs 99.2%. Within expected range.

BR

i was wrong in here about what unlicensed meant for about six months until somebody sorted me out

NP

how much do the online clinics actually check
when i checked last year my local specialist service was quoting eighteen months to two years, and that was for a first appointment

BR

scotland ran a different process from england when i looked into it, and a member there reported a shorter wait

GB

when i checked last year my local specialist service was quoting eighteen months to two years, and that was for a first appointment

VV

i have never been asked for id at a pharmacy for this and other members here have, so it seems to be down to the individual pharmacist, not advice obviously

as of when i last looked, nhs access ran through specialist weight management services and the criteria were tight, for what its worth
the private quotes i collected last spring ran from about 130 to about 250 a month depending on dose, and that will have moved since

nobody here can tell you what your gp will do. the variation between practices is the whole story in england

MP

the honest position on uk policy is that it moved four times in the two years i have been paying attention, we shall see

VB

New independent result logged — WWB, lot SG-1177, purity 98.6% (PeptideMeter).

BR

a member in dublin said their pharmacy supply was steadier than mine in england, which surprised both of us

🧊1
ST

vat was not charged on the private prescription i saw, but i am the wrong person to ask about tax

the private quotes i collected last spring ran from about 130 to about 250 a month depending on dose, and that will have moved since

*that should say weekly

anyone had a parcel stopped by border force and what actually happened next

MP

i moved from private to nhs and the handover was messy. one experience in one area, nothing more than that

private clinic quoted me $72 a month, is that about right or am i being had

⚠️1🎉14

wales was reported in here as slower to get started and steadier once you were in, and that was second hand

while im here the mhra publishes supply notices. whether your pharmacy has read them is an entirely separate matter

CH

the criteria included a bmi threshold plus comorbidities when i read them, and they have been revised since, so check rather than trust me

NP

unlicensed in mhra terms means there is no uk marketing authorisation for that product. it is not the same as illegal and it is not the same as approved

PS

the online clinics vary enormously in how much they check. one wanted a video call and photographs and one wanted almost nothing

coming back after 8 months, is the nhs picture any better

SO

the pharmacy gap in my area lasted about six weeks when i went through it, and it was member reported as nationwide at the time
