i was wrong in here about what unlicensed meant for about six months until somebody sorted me out

coming back after 14 months, is the nhs picture any better

🤝1🧊13💀1
PS

when i checked last year my local specialist service was quoting eighteen months to two years, and that was for a first appointment

NA

there was a two year limit in the nhs guidance i read. what happened at the end of it was not clear to me then and may be clearer now

NA

an irish member told me their out of pocket cost was noticeably higher than the uk equivalent when they compared in 2024, for what its worth

ok so nobody here can tell you what your gp will do. the variation between practices is the whole story in england, happy to be corrected

that was 2024

VB

Purity check: no report on file for lot D-0718. Nothing logged either way.

SD

the criteria included a bmi threshold plus comorbidities when i read them, and they have been revised since, so check rather than trust me

🧊2
RT

scotland ran a different process from england when i looked into it, and a member there reported a shorter wait, happy to be corrected

whats the position on driving, is there anything anyone had to declare

PS

i moved from private to nhs and the handover was messy. one experience in one area, nothing more than that, still working it out

NA

gp said they cant prescribe it at all, is that national or a local budget thing

PS

i have never been asked for id at a pharmacy for this and other members here have, so it seems to be down to the individual pharmacist, happy to be corrected

PS

vat was not charged on the private prescription i saw, but i am the wrong person to ask about tax

northern ireland sits under different arrangements from great britain and those have changed more than once, so do not treat anything i say about it as current

ni has its own rules

ireland runs its own reimbursement system and as best i understood it a year ago the picture there was less generous than people expect
