Highlights from this day
  • triple_ag_tom — the tier 3 referral needed my gp to actually make it, and that turned out to be harder than meeting the criteria 19:23
  • bpc_sceptic — wales was reported in here as slower to get started and steadier once you were in, and that was second hand, not advice obviously 19:37
  • bpc_sceptic — unlicensed in mhra terms means there is no uk marketing authorisation for that product. it is not the same as illegal and it is not the same as approved, thats just me 19:38
  • no_appetite_nia — while im here pharmacy has had nothing for three weeks, is that everywhere or just my bit of the country 20:07
  • meal_prep_mick — the seizure letters members have had here have been letters and nothing else, but that is our sample rather than a guarantee, not advice obviously 22:58

border force stopped a parcel of mine and sent a letter, and that was the whole of it. no follow up and no knock at the door, i think

a member in dublin said their pharmacy supply was steadier than mine in england, which surprised both of us, your mileage will differ

everything in this channel about pricing is a snapshot. read any figure here as the month somebody typed it

how much do the online clinics actually check

nobody here can tell you what your gp will do. the variation between practices is the whole story in england

i was wrong in here about what unlicensed meant for about six months until somebody sorted me out

slightly off topic but does anyone know whether the shortage list is public

BS

a private prescription in the uk was dispensable at any pharmacy willing to take it, in my experience of it

BS

the shortage was upstream of the pharmacies as far as anyone here could tell, and shouting at counter staff achieved nothing

the criteria included a bmi threshold plus comorbidities when i read them, and they have been revised since, so check rather than trust me

GB

cheapest legitimate route i found was a pharmacy led online service, and cheapest is only one axis of that decision, your mileage will differ

does the two year wait figure people quote come from anywhere real

gp said they cant prescribe it at all, is that national or a local budget thing

ireland runs its own reimbursement system and as best i understood it a year ago the picture there was less generous than people expect

ring more pharmacies

GB

northern ireland has two sets of rules doesnt it, how does that work in practice
vat was not charged on the private prescription i saw, but i am the wrong person to ask about tax

GB

the online clinics vary enormously in how much they check. one wanted a video call and photographs and one wanted almost nothing

MP

update from 25 months ago: my clinic price went up by $94 and the supply steadied in the same month

MP

scotland ran a different process from england when i looked into it, and a member there reported a shorter wait
