supply was upstream

MM

ireland runs its own reimbursement system and as best i understood it a year ago the picture there was less generous than people expect

ask your gp

ni has its own rules

😂4💀16❤️17
VV

anyone moved from a private clinic to nhs or the other way round

VV

how many pharmacies do people ring before giving up for the day

NP

the shortage was upstream of the pharmacies as far as anyone here could tell, and shouting at counter staff achieved nothing

🙏7🤝2

i paid €38 a month at a private clinic in 2024 and the price went up twice while i was with them, i could be wrong

CH

anyone in ireland willing to compare what theyre paying

VI

northern ireland has two sets of rules doesnt it, how does that work in practice

VI

while im here whats the cheapest legitimate private route people have found in the uk

CH

while im here i rang eleven pharmacies and the twelfth had it. that was one winter, and it is not a strategy

right so the pharmacy gap in my area lasted about six weeks when i went through it, and it was member reported as nationwide at the time

as of when i last looked, nhs access ran through specialist weight management services and the criteria were tight

is vat charged on a private prescription in the uk

reported by members, own currency, not comparable directly
  private clinic, UK      145 - 220
  statutory, DE 10 co-pay
  private script, DE      180 - 240
  pharmacy, PL 95 - 140
  pharmacy, SE 210 - 260
NA

is the irish price genuinely higher or is that a currency thing

BR

when i checked last year my local specialist service was quoting eighteen months to two years, and that was for a first appointment

BR

the mhra publishes supply notices. whether your pharmacy has read them is an entirely separate matter

PS

slightly off topic but the seizure letters members have had here have been letters and nothing else, but that is our sample rather than a guarantee

NA

unrelated but a member in dublin said their pharmacy supply was steadier than mine in england, which surprised both of us

update from 19 months ago: my clinic price went up by $240 and the supply steadied in the same month

VB

BR

follow up scotland ran a different process from england when i looked into it, and a member there reported a shorter wait

right so did anyone get a tier 3 referral without a bmi over 35

that was 2024

[edited]
BR

the private quotes i collected last spring ran from about 130 to about 250 a month depending on dose, and that will have moved since

did anyone get through the nhs route and how long was it end to end

BB

off label and unlicensed get used interchangeably in here and they are different. off label is a licensed product used outside its licence

there was a two year limit in the nhs guidance i read. what happened at the end of it was not clear to me then and may be clearer now

BB

member reported tier 3 waits in england were all over the place, from nine months to nearly three years, as of about a year ago

whats the position on driving, is there anything anyone had to declare

SB

what happens at the end of the two years on the nhs route

👍2😂16🧪1
PS

private clinic quoted me $94 a month, is that about right or am i being had

does anyone know whether the shortage list is public

BB

wales was reported in here as slower to get started and steadier once you were in, and that was second hand

VI

i would not repeat any of the nhs criteria as current fact, they were revised at least once since i last read them
