Highlights from this day
  • ruo_only — i have never been asked for id at a pharmacy for this and other members here have, so it seems to be down to the individual pharmacist, still working it out 11:03
  • see_a_clinician — update from 13 months ago: my clinic price went up by £94 and the supply steadied in the same month 13:55
  • see_a_clinician — the shortage was upstream of the pharmacies as far as anyone here could tell, and shouting at counter staff achieved nothing 13:56

when i checked last year my local specialist service was quoting eighteen months to two years, and that was for a first appointment

does anyone know whether the shortage list is public

RT

nobody here can tell you what your gp will do. the variation between practices is the whole story in england

the private quotes i collected last spring ran from about 130 to about 250 a month depending on dose, and that will have moved since

for the archive does the two year wait figure people quote come from anywhere real

cheapest legitimate route i found was a pharmacy led online service, and cheapest is only one axis of that decision, ill dig out the number

i would not repeat any of the nhs criteria as current fact, they were revised at least once since i last read them

quick one i paid €38 a month at a private clinic in 2024 and the price went up twice while i was with them

VB

Digest for the week of 2025-10-22 has been published.

how long is the nhs specialist weight management wait where people are, mine was quoted at two years

everything in this channel about pricing is a snapshot. read any figure here as the month somebody typed it

👀1

member reported tier 3 waits in england were all over the place, from nine months to nearly three years, as of about a year ago

anyone had a parcel stopped by border force and what actually happened next

SA

i moved from private to nhs and the handover was messy. one experience in one area, nothing more than that

update from 13 months ago: my clinic price went up by £94 and the supply steadied in the same month
