Highlights from this day
  • cold_pack_carla — first order from JEEP, anything i should know 17:03
  • invoice_mismatch — what packaging have people had from TFC the room does not rank suppliers on price. it ranks them on whether what arrives matches what was described 19:39
  • per_mg_pete — CPC has been consistent for me across 8 orders which is what i actually want 20:50

do the arithmetic

right so cheap per mg is not the same as good value. i have paid more twice and been glad both times

VB

Digest for the week of 2024-11-13 has been published.

coming back after 18 months, who has changed for the better
i keep three suppliers on rotation so a stock gap never becomes a problem

they improved

LN

they slipped

option A: 5 x 10mg @ 38 + 25 ship = 215 / 50mg = 4.30 per mg
option B: 5 x 10mg @ 34 + 45 ship = 215 / 50mg = 4.30 per mg
option C: 10 x 10mg @ 32 + 25 ship = 345 / 100mg = 3.45 per mg

anyone had fill consistency problems with QSC
the room does not rank suppliers on price. it ranks them on whether what arrives matches what was described

LN

i have never had a problem i could not resolve with Homopeptide, which is a low bar and a lot of suppliers fail it

PS

no sourcing requests by private message. not from members, not from suppliers, and we report anyone who tries

FA

quoted lead time versus actual is the number i track. the gap is the informative part

FA

reordering or trying somebody new, whats the argument for staying

HM

cold packs are not standard everywhere. ask explicitly and it usually costs nothing

FA

if three people give you three different suppliers, that is because all three work. pick one and test it

FA

minimum orders push people into buying more than they want, which is a real cost nobody puts in the per mg number, from memory

does anyone ask who makes it and get a straight answer

CP

my first order from BCH was fine and my fourth was better. they have improved
update from 22 months ago: switched suppliers on fill consistency, not on purity

update on the earlier thing i would order from QST again and i would still weigh the vials, as i would with anyone

anyone compared GL Biochem and GL Biochem on the same compound

a supplier who tells you something is out of stock rather than shipping late is doing you a favour

thats a reseller

VB

Assay note: GL Biochem lot D-0718 reported at 99% of label content.

what does everyone consider a fair per mg price now

IM

nobody here gets paid to say anything about any supplier and the mods would end me if i did

prices move without announcement more often than people expect. screenshot your invoice

update from 13 months ago: switched suppliers on fill consistency, not on purity

VB

New independent result logged — QYB, lot A-2601, purity 99.2% (Medutest).

VB

Assay note: QYB lot G-0641 reported at 99% of label content.

PM

genuine question the room does not rank suppliers on price. it ranks them on whether what arrives matches what was described

option A: 5 x 10mg @ 38 + 25 ship = 215 / 50mg = 4.30 per mg
option B: 5 x 10mg @ 34 + 45 ship = 215 / 50mg = 4.30 per mg
option C: 10 x 10mg @ 32 + 25 ship = 345 / 100mg = 3.45 per mg

is there a supplier anyone would recommend purely on communication

quick one does factory direct actually mean anything

PM

ask who actually makes it. about a third of suppliers answer honestly and that answer is worth a lot

PM

lead times stretch badly around chinese new year. order early or wait it out

PM

support answering in two days is good. answering in nine is a data point about the whole operation

the same 50mg at 185 with free shipping is 3.70 per mg. cheaper, and i still ordered the first one

NP

has anyone worked out the actual per mg cost including shipping for WWB

not by dm

NP

quick one price per mg including shipping is the only comparison that means anything

minimum orders push people into buying more than they want, which is a real cost nobody puts in the per mg number
