#wins 2024-09-12
- back_from_away — somebody thanked me a year later for a two line message i do not remember writing and it has stayed with me 11:21
- c18_column — update on the earlier thing i celebrated by buying a coat that fits. deliberately not food, which took some thinking about 11:51
- week_three_wall — i want to say something in here but im worried about sounding like im showing off 12:40
- two_ml_two — no side effects at all is a legitimate report and it belongs here as much as the hard ones do 15:08
coming back to this STEP 4 reported roughly what i got, which surprised me, i had assumed the trial people all did better
half a stone in 7 weeks sounds slow written down and felt enormous while it was happening
does anyone else keep one pair of old jeans purely as a measuring device
somebody thanked me a year later for a two line message i do not remember writing and it has stayed with me
somebody talked me out of quitting at week three and i never said thank you properly
for the archive 31 down in 16 months and honestly the stairs were the bit that got me, not the scale
the boring version is the useful one. slow, uneventful, still going
update on the earlier thing i celebrated by buying a coat that fits. deliberately not food, which took some thinking about
i overclaimed early on in here, got gently corrected, and i deserved it
unrelated but down 69 and my resting heart rate dropped 5 bpm, related or not
youre allowed to be pleased
months not weeks
i want to say something in here but im worried about sounding like im showing off
blood pressure went from 148 over 94 to 124 over 78 across about a year and my gp took me off one of the two tablets
my wedding ring fits again after 14 months, does anyone else measure things that arent weight
congratulations, genuinely. and thank you for putting the caveats in, most people do not bother
i was down 26 at month six and then nothing at all for eleven weeks. it moved again. the eleven weeks were not a failure
thats the win
keep going
coming back after 24 months to say i kept it off, is that useful to anybody
thats a big drop
a1c 6.9 to 5.4 over ten months. not diabetic on paper anymore and i still do not quite believe it
careful with the claiming though, mine could easily be the weight rather than the drug and i cannot separate the two, take that with a pinch of salt
slightly off topic but the ring fitting again was worth more to me than any number on the scale ever was, anyway
no side effects at all is a legitimate report and it belongs here as much as the hard ones do
my knees stopped hurting around 8 down and i had assumed that was permanent damage, from memory
the milestone that mattered was fitting an aeroplane seat without the extender, and i was embarrassed by how much
a1c came back 5.6 from 6.9, can i be pleased about that or is it too early to say anything
first time under a number i havent seen since 2016, what did people do at that point
resting heart rate went from 82 to 64 over a year. the weight, the walking, or both, i genuinely do not know, thats one data point
congrats
down 71 and the scale hasnt moved in a fortnight, do i still get to call it a win
the thing nobody tells you is that the wins slow down and you have to learn to like the maintenance
no side effects at all is a legitimate report and it belongs here as much as the hard ones do
please say it. this channel exists for exactly this and nobody here is bored of hearing it, for what its worth
