if youre used to GLP-1 titration steps this feels absurdly cautious and i still do it that way
#cagrilintide 2025-09-22
- pbs_pip — the slower titration in here is community habit as much as anything, the trials had their own schedule 16:49
- monoisotopic — ok so the fullness thing is the part people describe differently, food stops being interesting rather than repellent 17:21
- comment_fatigue — whats REDEFINE testing exactly 17:31
- turnaround_tam — whats the recon people use, 40 in 0.5ml 20:16
*that should say weekly
sorry to jump in how do people separate which of the two is doing what in a combination
thats the phase 3 one
stopped for 2 months and the fullness went within a fortnight of the last dose
has REDEFINE reported or are people quoting earlier work
CagriSema is cagrilintide with semaglutide and REDEFINE is the trial programme around it
how slow are people titrating this compared to cagrilintide
i said earlier this year that monotherapy did nothing for me, and at a higher dose it did something
combination GI was worse than either alone for me, which is not what i had read anywhere
cant separate them
while im here added it to an existing cagrilintide dose rather than starting both, which made attribution possible
is the slower titration because of nausea or something else
went slower because the first step gave me two rough days and i took that as information
anyone stopped the GLP-1 and kept only this
dosing them on different days made no difference i could detect
back after 25 months, is monotherapy still a minority thing here
[edited]the slower titration in here is community habit as much as anything, the trials had their own schedule
combination GI was worse than either alone for me, which is not what i had read anywhere
REDEFINE is the phase 3 programme, most of what gets quoted casually in here is earlier work, anyway
i was sceptical about monotherapy and after 5 months im still sceptical, just less so, ill dig out the number
monotherapy here
the nausea felt different rather than less, more fullness and less of the queasy wave
amylin is about slowed gastric emptying and satiety signalling, thats the short version and im no pharmacologist
ok so the fullness thing is the part people describe differently, food stops being interesting rather than repellent
whats REDEFINE testing exactly
did anyone add this to an existing tirzepatide dose rather than starting both
is 2.4 the number for this too or am i confusing compounds
*PeptideMeter not the other one
how many weeks before you noticed anything on monotherapy
is there a reason people titrate this over more weeks than the others
[edited]the reason nausea reads differently is timing, mine arrived on the second day rather than the first
did the combination change your GI compared to the GLP-1 alone
different not less
cagrisema thats it
follow up i keep the two on separate days so if something goes wrong i have a chance of knowing which
fullness rather than nausea
while im here is anyone running this on its own or is it all CagriSema in here
REDEFINE is the trial
the numbers everyone quotes come from the combination, so comparing them to monotherapy logs is unfair
monotherapy did work for me, just slower and smaller than i expected
dropped the GLP-1 and stayed on this alone for 7 months, appetite held but weight barely moved
whats the recon people use, 40 in 0.5ml
two PeptideMeter results on the same SWB lot came back 98.6 and 99.4, closer than i expected, ask me again in a month
its an amylin analogue, different receptor family, so treating it as another GLP-1 is the first mistake
