combination GI was worse than either alone for me, which is not what i had read anywhere

- drawup_dee — monotherapy did work for me, just slower and smaller than i expected 13:35
- drawup_dee — monotherapy question, did appetite move for you without a GLP-1 alongside 13:36
- gradient_greg — dropped the GLP-1 and stayed on this alone for 18 months, appetite held but weight barely moved 13:37
- rezept_rolf — i keep the two on separate days so if something goes wrong i have a chance of knowing which REDEFINE is the phase 3 programme, most of what gets quoted casually in… 15:03
- amylin_amy — does the fullness effect fade the way appetite suppression does 16:42
ok so monotherapy was underwhelming for me and i say that as someone who wanted it to work
[edited]the reason nausea reads differently is timing, mine arrived on the second day rather than the first
is 2.4 the number for this too or am i confusing compounds
amylin is about slowed gastric emptying and satiety signalling, thats the short version and im no pharmacologist
is the combination just the two dosed together or a single formulation
held at 2 for 7 months on monotherapy before i touched it again
slower than the others
separate days
anyone holding at 12 for a while before stepping
monotherapy here
is the nausea profile genuinely different or am i imagining it
combination for me
monotherapy did work for me, just slower and smaller than i expected
monotherapy question, did appetite move for you without a GLP-1 alongside
dropped the GLP-1 and stayed on this alone for 18 months, appetite held but weight barely moved
how many weeks before you noticed anything on monotherapy
20 in 1.5ml gives 10mg/ml which is what i use, purely because the units come out round
is the slower titration because of nausea or something else
REDEFINE is the trial
£185 for a 30 vial and it lasts me longer than the GLP-1 does at my doses
CagriSema is cagrilintide with semaglutide and REDEFINE is the trial programme around it
coming back to this added it to an existing cagrilintide dose rather than starting both, which made attribution possible
for the archive i titrated over twice as many weeks as i did on semaglutide and that was right for me
did anyone find monotherapy underwhelming
went slower because the first step gave me two rough days and i took that as information
does amylin do something about fullness that the GLP-1 doesnt
did anyone add this to an existing tirzepatide dose rather than starting both
i keep the two on separate days so if something goes wrong i have a chance of knowing which
REDEFINE is the phase 3 programme, most of what gets quoted casually in here is earlier work
how slow are people titrating this compared to tirzepatide
did the nausea feel different to you or just less
for the archive its an amylin analogue, different receptor family, so treating it as another GLP-1 is the first mistake
you cannot tell which of the two is doing what in a combination and i stopped pretending i could
the fullness thing is the part people describe differently, food stops being interesting rather than repellent
titrating dead slow
noticed something around week 26 on monotherapy, well after i had given up expecting to
REDEFINE is the phase 3 programme, most of what gets quoted casually in here is earlier work
*VendorInvestigate not the other one
different not less
does the fullness effect fade the way appetite suppression does
held mine a while
[edited]dosing them on different days made no difference i could detect
follow up how do people separate which of the two is doing what in a combination
