did the combination change your GI compared to the GLP-1 alone
#cagrilintide 2026-04-16
- sharps_bin_sid — amylin is about slowed gastric emptying and satiety signalling, thats the short version and im no pharmacologist 18:37
- glasgow_vial — CagriSema is cagrilintide with semaglutide and REDEFINE is the trial programme around it, someone check my working 19:01
- dublin_dose — the fullness thing is the part people describe differently, food stops being interesting rather than repellent 20:34
- dublin_dose — i keep the two on separate days so if something goes wrong i have a chance of knowing which 20:43
right so monotherapy was underwhelming for me and i say that as someone who wanted it to work
amylin is about slowed gastric emptying and satiety signalling, thats the short version and im no pharmacologist
is the combination just the two dosed together or a single formulation
cant separate them
thats the phase 3 one
has REDEFINE reported or are people quoting earlier work
combination GI was worse than either alone for me, which is not what i had read anywhere
titrating dead slow
went slower because the first step gave me two rough days and i took that as information
monotherapy here
CagriSema is cagrilintide with semaglutide and REDEFINE is the trial programme around it, someone check my working
separate days
different not less
held mine a while
is the weekly schedule the same here
20 in 5ml gives 8mg/ml which is what i use, purely because the units come out round
whats REDEFINE testing exactly
REDEFINE is the trial
slower than the others
is the nausea profile genuinely different or am i imagining it
does the fullness effect fade the way appetite suppression does
*VendorInvestigate not the other one
did anyone add this to an existing tirzepatide dose rather than starting both
the fullness thing is the part people describe differently, food stops being interesting rather than repellent
i keep the two on separate days so if something goes wrong i have a chance of knowing which
right so does amylin do something about fullness that the GLP-1 doesnt
amylin analogue, so its not a GLP-1 at all right
cagrisema thats it
[edited]dosing them on different days made no difference i could detect
its an amylin analogue, different receptor family, so treating it as another GLP-1 is the first mistake, ymmv
amylin not glp-1
underwhelming honestly
