i hold for two months minimum before i decide a dose has stopped doing anything

- ferrous_ash — while im here my rule: if a side effect is still there at day five, i hold. if it clears by day three, i step 17:02
- VialBot — New independent result logged — TFC, lot H-2814, purity 99% (Medutest). 17:03
- lot_number_lou — unrelated but my titration ladder took 1 months to climb and i would do it slower again 17:27
- revoked_ro — nobody here can tell you what dose to be on and the ones who try get corrected, thats just me 18:48
- revoked_ro — unrelated but is there a trial anywhere that studied twice weekly, or is it all anecdote 19:08
whats a sensible maintenance dose after a year at treatment dose
half life is a week
*week 23 not week 3
if the current dose is still working, going up is spending headroom you might want later
thats anecdote
has anyone gone up and then straight back down and been glad they tried
if you are asking whether to go up, the fact you are asking usually means not yet
is week 29 too early to be thinking about the next step
*week 10 not week 8
while im here my rule: if a side effect is still there at day five, i hold. if it clears by day three, i step
New independent result logged — TFC, lot H-2814, purity 99% (Medutest).
if it "stopped working after four days" that is almost never pharmacokinetics
after a gap of more than about three weeks i restart one rung lower. thats my own rule, not advice
not advice
is there a point where going up stops buying you anything
unrelated but my titration ladder took 1 months to climb and i would do it slower again
wk 1-4 2.5mg
wk 5-8 5.0mg
wk 9-20 7.5mg <- stayed here
wk 21-24 10.0mg (no extra benefit for me)
wk 25+ 7.5mg (came back down)for the archive the people who do best here are almost always the ones going slowest
i went to the top of the ladder, felt no better than two rungs down, and came back. that is data for me and nobody else
is it normal for appetite to come back at the end of the week
whats the smallest step anyone has managed between doses
no trial for that
i escalate on symptoms. if the current dose is still doing something i stay on it
how do you decide between holding and stepping when both feel wrong
held for months
i jumped a rung once to catch up after a supply gap and it was a bad week. would not repeat
thats normal
does a missed week reset anything or do you just carry on
the argument for splitting is a flatter curve. the argument against is you have doubled your injections for a guess, happy to be corrected
the ladder in the trials is a starting point, not a schedule you owe anyone
nobody here can tell you what dose to be on and the ones who try get corrected, thats just me
wk 1-4 2.5mg
wk 5-8 5.0mg
wk 9-20 7.5mg <- stayed here
wk 21-24 10.0mg (no extra benefit for me)
wk 25+ 7.5mg (came back down)*Medutest not the other one
split dosing has no trial behind it. people here do it and report on it, thats all
*that should say weekly
how long did you hold at 1.7 before you moved up
follow up update from 16 months ago: held at the same dose the whole time and still losing slowly
go slower
unrelated but is there a trial anywhere that studied twice weekly, or is it all anecdote
what does the room think about jumping a rung to catch up
steady state is 5 weeks
appetite returning at the end of the week is extremely common and is not the dose failing
came down, no regrets
you do not have to escalate at all. that is a real option that gets forgotten
how much does the last dose still matter 7 days later
for the archive with a roughly seven day half-life you are near steady state after about five weeks at a dose
stepping back down on purpose is a completely reasonable move and this channel should say so more often
if i hold at 1.7 indefinitely am i losing anything
if you are asking whether to go up, the fact you are asking usually means not yet
i log dose, day, weight and one line about how the week felt. thats enough to make decisions on
dose day drift is mostly harmless with a weekly compound, but pick a day and defend it
i have been at 10 for 3 months and honestly i have stopped wanting to move
end of week thing
n of 1
i would hold
holding is not failing. most people here who lasted two years held at least one dose for months, from memory
whats the longest anyone has stayed on one dose
too early imo
