i changed nothing except letting the swab dry and the stinging stopped completely

warming the vial in your hand for a minute is the cheapest comfort improvement there is

SS

genuine question never recap a used pin. that is how people stick themselves

VB

Assay note: WXT lot SG-1177 reported at 99.4% of label content.

AA

do not aspirate for a subcutaneous injection, there is nothing to aspirate for
bleeding a little means you nicked a small vessel. it is not a technique failure

BR

is bruising more about the needle or the aftercare
a small air bubble subcutaneously is not dangerous. it costs you dose accuracy, thats the reason to clear it

BR

nobody here should be telling you where to inject. we can tell you what we do, i have it written down somewhere

SS

update from 26 months ago: switched to a fixed rotation and the site reactions stopped
let the alcohol dry. that is ninety percent of "my injections sting"

how do you avoid hitting the same spot twice when the marks fade
i changed nothing except letting the swab dry and the stinging stopped completely

Archive lookup: bea_reconstitutes first appears in this channel on 2025-01-31.

small bubble is fine

thigh or abdomen, does absorption actually differ

quick one the needle went in fine but it stung going in, alcohol or the compound
let the alcohol dry. that is ninety percent of "my injections sting"

VB

Reminder for bea_reconstitutes: dose day is today. Set 3 days ago.

follow up i mark the rotation in a notes app because the marks fade and i lost track twice

SC

while im here the difference between 29G and 31G is real but small. the difference between wet and dry alcohol is not small

how far from the navel is actually far enough

💀1🤝9❤️1

i keep the sharps bin next to the fridge so the whole thing happens in one place

SC

abdomen two inches out from the navel, avoiding anything that has been injected in the last month

SC

welts at the site are usually a mild local reaction and rotation sorts it, i have it written down somewhere

SC

coming back to this absorption differences between subcutaneous sites are small for a weekly compound

😂5

do you change the pin between drawing up and injecting
90 degrees works fine if you have the tissue for it. 45 if you do not
