i inject the back of my own arm and it is awkward but doable with a mirror

do you count to five before withdrawing
i changed nothing except letting the swab dry and the stinging stopped completely
warm it first
45 degrees

dont recap
drawing up with the same pin you inject with is fine, it just dulls the tip slightly, we shall see
not a problem
warming the vial in your hand for a minute is the cheapest comfort improvement there is
[edited]do you change the pin between drawing up and injecting
90 degrees works fine if you have the tissue for it. 45 if you do not
cold from the fridge genuinely stings more. i let it sit out for ten minutes
is a small air bubble in the barrel a problem subcutaneously
*VendorInvestigate not the other one
rotate
let it dry
is bruising more about the needle or the aftercare
anyone got a rotation map they would share
how slowly should you actually push
i mark the rotation in a notes app because the marks fade and i lost track twice
thats normal
does the injection site matter for how quickly it hits
abdomen two inches out from the navel, avoiding anything that has been injected in the last month
a small air bubble subcutaneously is not dangerous. it costs you dose accuracy, thats the reason to clear it
genuine question bleeding a little means you nicked a small vessel. it is not a technique failure
technique probably
does injecting a cold vial hurt more or am i imagining it
try the thigh
a fresh pin for the injection hurts less. whether thats worth the extra dead space is your call
thigh or abdomen, does absorption actually differ
is there any reason to warm the vial in your hand first
i keep the sharps bin next to the fridge so the whole thing happens in one place
i bled a bit, is that a needle depth thing
31G 8mm for everything. i tried the 12.7mm once and never went back
[edited]Recon calculator: 10mg in 1ml = 2mg/ml.
the needle went in fine but it stung going in, alcohol or the compound
the difference between 29G and 31G is real but small. the difference between wet and dry alcohol is not small, i have it written down somewhere
mark it down
a proper sharps bin costs almost nothing and pharmacies will take it back
fresh pin
thats a reaction
ok so absorption differences between subcutaneous sites are small for a weekly compound
warming the vial in your hand for a minute is the cheapest comfort improvement there is
i have eight sites and an eight week rotation. it is written on the fridge, from memory
31G 8mm
small bubble is fine
never recap a used pin. that is how people stick themselves
update from 21 months ago: switched to a fixed rotation and the site reactions stopped
do you pinch or stretch
