Wednesday15 messages5 participantstimes are UTC
Highlights from this day
  • area_percent — unrelated but we have never had a lab mix up a sample. we have had members mix up their own labelling twice 19:51
  • first_and_last_four — do you want the vial reconstituted or as powder 21:33
  • ferrous_ash — submissions go out blinded. the lab gets a code, not a supplier name. that removes one variable, it is not distrust 21:37
AP

chain of custody in hobby testing is weak and we say so in every writeup

if you want to know about your vial, you have to submit your vial. that is the whole answer

turnaround has been between 18 days and twice that depending on the queue

code not name

how many people do we need before the split is worth it

quantity is the test worth paying for. purity is usually fine and fill usually is not

CO

two labs on the same lot is a luxury but it is how we learned what inter-lab variance looks like

FA

roughly one sample in 3 rounds has gone missing in transit. budget for it emotionally

send a capped syringe with enough for a rerun. the minimum is never enough if they need to repeat it, still working it out
