i would rather fund one careful quantity test than three purity tests

what happens if a submission gets lost in transit

submissions go out blinded. the lab gets a code, not a supplier name. that removes one variable, it is not distrust

a pooled result tells you about the pool. it does not tell you about your vial

VendorInvestigate has been the fastest for us. PeptideMeter has been the most detailed. those are not the same lab

right so two labs on the same lot is a luxury but it is how we learned what inter-lab variance looks like

Inter-lab diff for lot D-0718: 98.1% vs 98.6%. Within expected range.

i keep half the sample back so there is something to send if the first one goes missing

update from 25 months ago: the blinding process is unchanged and it has held up fine

the split works from about 9 people. below that everyone pays more than the test is worth, still working it out

is there a preferred lab for quantity specifically

while im here quantity is the test worth paying for. purity is usually fine and fill usually is not, not advice obviously

including a reference standard in the batch is the single best thing we ever added to this process

we publish the raw report. summaries hide the thing you needed to see

a code and a lot number on the syringe in permanent marker. that is the whole labelling requirement

who is coordinating this round

declare it as an analytical reference sample with a low value. that is what it is, still working it out

i coordinate the round, collect the codes, and post every result including the dull ones, anyway

unrelated but send a capped syringe with enough for a rerun. the minimum is never enough if they need to repeat it
