turnaround times, realistically

from what people have actually logged in here:

the December queue thing is real, everybody submits at once and then complains

so if i want results by mid month

you send it last month. plan a month back from when you want the number

and do not chase the lab at day four. they are not slow, the post is slow

the lab is almost never the bottleneck. it is us and the couriers

which is why the paired-shipping thing matters so much. if all four samples travelled together you can at least say the transit was identical

what about tracking the internal handoff, does anyone log when they opened the box

some of us do. it is one line in a text file and it has settled two arguments

i log: sealed date, opened, decanted yes or no, posted, delivered, report date. six fields
