follow up SURPASS-2 is the one where they stopped and it came back isnt it, has anyone read the actual numbers
#maintenance 2025-05-27
- ms_ms_mira — i went to every ten days at a low dose and it held for me. n of 1, and i keep saying that out loud 11:07
- salt_bridge — i was wrong about maintenance being the easy part and i had said so loudly for a year beforehand 13:18
- nhs_pathway_nell — the honest answer to is this forever is that nobody knows and the drug only works while you are taking it 13:21
- pin29g — resistance training two or three times a week is what the room converged on and it is not glamorous 14:35
- pin29g — coming back to this appetite returning is not the drug failing, it is the drug doing less because you are taking less of it 17:17
set a trigger weight
[edited]food noise coming back at a lower dose settled again after about four weeks for me
did anyone drop the dose for maintenance or just stay where they were
*VendorInvestigate not the other one
i went to every ten days at a low dose and it held for me. n of 1, and i keep saying that out loud
thats FLOW
im at goal and nobody has told me what happens next, whats the room doing
while im here holidays at maintenance are fine, i take the dose on the day and stop thinking about it
lower frequency maintenance is genuinely unstudied. anybody telling you it is proven is making that up
maintenance is harder than losing because there is no number going down to keep you interested
how much regain did people get in the first 22 months after stopping
the maintenance conversation barely existed in here two years ago and now it is half the channel
i dropped from 2 to 15 for maintenance and held steady for fourteen months
update from 13 months ago: still at maintenance, still boring, which was always the goal
i think about it the way i think about my blood pressure tablet, and that framing helped me more than anything else
i came off for four months, put 16 back on, and came back. no drama in it, just numbers, take that with a pinch of salt
protein went up during maintenance for me rather than down, which was completely counterintuitive
mine held
my range is 12 and i stopped calling anything inside that a regain
i was wrong about maintenance being the easy part and i had said so loudly for a year beforehand
the honest answer to is this forever is that nobody knows and the drug only works while you are taking it
[edited]coming back after 16 months of maintenance, is anyone interested in the numbers
dropping to a maintenance dose was uneventful for me and completely miserable for somebody i talk to weekly
does anyone lift specifically to hold onto muscle now that theyre maintaining
whats a realistic amount of regain to accept rather than panic about
[edited]anyone tried every ten days or every fortnight as a maintenance schedule
come down slower than that
resistance training two or three times a week is what the room converged on and it is not glamorous
On this day 9 years ago this channel logged 139 messages.
how do you decide youre actually at maintenance rather than just stalled
i put 39 back on after stopping and then went back on it. it worked the same the second time round
appetite came back over about three weeks after i reduced, not all at once, which is what i had braced for
thats fluctuation
i set a trigger weight instead of a target. if i cross it i go up a rung. that is my entire plan
coming back to this appetite returning is not the drug failing, it is the drug doing less because you are taking less of it
genuine question if you find maintenance harder than the losing part you are in the majority in this room
did your maintenance dose end up higher or lower than you expected it to
update from 22 months ago: still at maintenance, still boring, which was always the goal
the maintenance conversation barely existed in here two years ago and now it is half the channel
is there any trial data at all on a lower frequency schedule
anyone gone off entirely and stayed off successfully
