Highlights from this day
  • HPLC_Hank — everybody i have seen stop and hold it did something else as well, without exception in my time here, anyway 15:59
  • HPLC_Hank — i weigh weekly at maintenance rather than daily and my range is about two kilos either side 16:35
  • subq_sy — resistance training two or three times a week is what the room converged on and it is not glamorous 16:52
  • hair_month_four — does anyone budget for maintenance being cheaper or is it the same £72 a month 17:50
  • taper_tess — slightly off topic but my range is 12 and i stopped calling anything inside that a regain 19:05
FS

the muscle question is the one i wish i had taken seriously at month two instead of month twelve

FS

sorry to jump in nobody here can tell you whether to stop. we can tell you what happened to us when we did

IT

a 10mg vial at a 2mg maintenance dose is five weeks of doses, so my monthly cost roughly halved

SS

protein went up during maintenance for me rather than down, which was completely counterintuitive

IT

regain after stopping is the expected outcome, which is a horrible sentence and also what the data says

is maintenance different between retatrutide and the others or is that all anecdote

HM

i went to every ten days at a low dose and it held for me. n of 1, and i keep saying that out loud

i set a trigger weight instead of a target. if i cross it i go up a rung. that is my entire plan, from memory

genuine question i was wrong about maintenance being the easy part and i had said so loudly for a year beforehand

HM

the honest answer to is this forever is that nobody knows and the drug only works while you are taking it

HH

lower frequency maintenance is genuinely unstudied. anybody telling you it is proven is making that up

i weigh weekly at maintenance rather than daily and my range is about two kilos either side

if you find maintenance harder than the losing part you are in the majority in this room

im at goal and nobody has told me what happens next, whats the room doing

🙏8⚠️1

for the archive how much regain did people get in the first 24 months after stopping

SS

anyone tried every ten days or every fortnight as a maintenance schedule

there is no trial on every ten days or every fortnight. people here do it and report on it and that is all we have
coming down too fast was my mistake. top rung to the bottom rung inside a month and it was a bad month

SS

resistance training two or three times a week is what the room converged on and it is not glamorous

🔥1🎉8📈17

regain is expected

HH

maintenance is harder than losing because there is no number going down to keep you interested

HM

stopped 15 months ago and put 18 back on, what did people do at that point
i lift twice a week specifically because losing fast without it cost me more than i was willing to lose

i put 26 back on after stopping and then went back on it. it worked the same the second time round

HM

right so food noise coming back at a lower dose settled again after about four weeks for me

unrelated but holidays at maintenance are fine, i take the dose on the day and stop thinking about it

whats a realistic amount of regain to accept rather than panic about

the maintenance conversation barely existed in here two years ago and now it is half the channel

does anyone lift specifically to hold onto muscle now that theyre maintaining

SA

how do you decide youre actually at maintenance rather than just stalled

📈3🔥4🤝3

set a trigger weight

SS

i tried to come down and could not hold it, went back to treatment dose, and stopped apologising for it

SA

there is no official maintenance dose. it is a thing we do because the alternative on the table was stopping, thats one data point

update from 17 months ago: still at maintenance, still boring, which was always the goal

ok so i lift twice a week specifically because losing fast without it cost me more than i was willing to lose

SN

two or three kilos up and down is normal fluctuation. ten is a different conversation
