Highlights from this day
  • ring_size_down — i was wrong about maintenance being the easy part and i had said so loudly for a year beforehand 20:51
  • plus_sixteen — i lift twice a week specifically because losing fast without it cost me more than i was willing to lose 21:25
  • food_noise_off — if you find maintenance harder than the losing part you are in the majority in this room 21:32
  • plus_sixteen — SURMOUNT-1 is the stopping one. weight came back on for most people once the drug stopped. that is the finding, not an opinion 23:06
  • juno_joins — i put 32 back on after stopping and then went back on it. it worked the same the second time round 23:10

*Medutest not the other one

same as a bp tablet

come down slower than that

P2

two or three kilos up and down is normal fluctuation. ten is a different conversation

did your maintenance dose end up higher or lower than you expected it to

protein up not down

coming back to this i set a trigger weight instead of a target. if i cross it i go up a rung. that is my entire plan

is there any trial data at all on a lower frequency schedule

NP

appetite returning is not the drug failing, it is the drug doing less because you are taking less of it

lift twice a week

RS

slightly off topic but whats your rule for when a fluctuation becomes a regain

update from 9 months ago: still at maintenance, still boring, which was always the goal

P2

i tried to come down and could not hold it, went back to treatment dose, and stopped apologising for it

SA

i came off for four months, put 45 back on, and came back. no drama in it, just numbers

MC

protein went up during maintenance for me rather than down, which was completely counterintuitive

[edited]
MC

holidays at maintenance are fine, i take the dose on the day and stop thinking about it

FN

the honest answer to is this forever is that nobody knows and the drug only works while you are taking it

TT

a 10mg vial at a 2mg maintenance dose is five weeks of doses, so my monthly cost roughly halved, n of 1 obviously

PS

SURMOUNT-1 is the stopping one. weight came back on for most people once the drug stopped. that is the finding, not an opinion

how much regain did people get in the first 14 months after stopping

JJ

i put 32 back on after stopping and then went back on it. it worked the same the second time round

the muscle question is the one i wish i had taken seriously at month two instead of month twelve
