maintenance is harder than losing because there is no number going down to keep you interested

- ivy_injects — i was wrong about maintenance being the easy part and i had said so loudly for a year beforehand 18:32
- split_shipment — i set a trigger weight instead of a target. if i cross it i go up a rung. that is my entire plan 19:47
- split_shipment — resistance training two or three times a week is what the room converged on and it is not glamorous 21:18
i came off for four months, put 59 back on, and came back. no drama in it, just numbers, for what its worth
everybody i have seen stop and hold it did something else as well, without exception in my time here, for what its worth
i stayed at treatment dose for four months past goal and then came down slowly. that order was right for me
harder than losing
the maintenance conversation barely existed in here two years ago and now it is half the channel
i dropped from 12 to 2.5 for maintenance and held steady for fourteen months
lift twice a week
weekly not daily
thats fluctuation
how much protein were people eating at maintenance compared to while losing
food noise coming back at a lower dose settled again after about four weeks for me
does anyone lift specifically to hold onto muscle now that theyre maintaining
i lift twice a week specifically because losing fast without it cost me more than i was willing to lose
did anyone drop the dose for maintenance or just stay where they were
i tried to come down and could not hold it, went back to treatment dose, and stopped apologising for it
my range is 34 and i stopped calling anything inside that a regain
m0 118.4
m1 113.9
m2 110.2
m3 108.8
m4 108.1 <- the stall
m5 105.0
m6 101.6
m7 99.2same as a bp tablet
protein went up during maintenance for me rather than down, which was completely counterintuitive
i was wrong about maintenance being the easy part and i had said so loudly for a year beforehand
appetite returning is not the drug failing, it is the drug doing less because you are taking less of it
if you find maintenance harder than the losing part you are in the majority in this room
genuine question the muscle question is the one i wish i had taken seriously at month two instead of month twelve, ask me again in a month
stopped 8 months ago and put 16 back on, what did people do at that point
the honest answer to is this forever is that nobody knows and the drug only works while you are taking it, thats just me
two or three kilos up and down is normal fluctuation. ten is a different conversation
set a trigger weight
is a maintenance dose a real clinical thing or something we invented between us
[edited]i set a trigger weight instead of a target. if i cross it i go up a rung. that is my entire plan
anyone gone off entirely and stayed off successfully
[edited]anyone tried every ten days or every fortnight as a maintenance schedule
mine didnt hold
ok so there is no trial on every ten days or every fortnight. people here do it and report on it and that is all we have
unrelated but lower frequency maintenance is genuinely unstudied. anybody telling you it is proven is making that up
resistance training two or three times a week is what the room converged on and it is not glamorous
i put 47 back on after stopping and then went back on it. it worked the same the second time round, i could be wrong
did anyone regret dropping the dose too fast
holidays at maintenance are fine, i take the dose on the day and stop thinking about it
protein up not down
come down slower than that
regain is expected
whats your rule for when a fluctuation becomes a regain
is maintenance different between cagrilintide and the others or is that all anecdote
