the maintenance conversation barely existed in here two years ago and now it is half the channel

- stack_sceptic — the muscle question is the one i wish i had taken seriously at month two instead of month twelve 22:25
- eighteen_months — i set a trigger weight instead of a target. if i cross it i go up a rung. that is my entire plan 22:48
- eighteen_months — there is no trial on every ten days or every fortnight. people here do it and report on it and that is all we have 23:12
dropping to a maintenance dose was uneventful for me and completely miserable for somebody i talk to weekly
maintenance is harder than losing because there is no number going down to keep you interested
the muscle question is the one i wish i had taken seriously at month two instead of month twelve
right so did anyone drop the dose for maintenance or just stay where they were
appetite returning is not the drug failing, it is the drug doing less because you are taking less of it
mine didnt hold
weekly not daily
no official dose
a 10mg vial at a 2mg maintenance dose is five weeks of doses, so my monthly cost roughly halved
come down slower than that
protein up not down
still at maintenance
same as a bp tablet
went back up, no regrets
no data on that
update on the earlier thing STEP 1 is the one where they stopped and it came back isnt it, has anyone read the actual numbers
appetite returning is not the drug failing, it is the drug doing less because you are taking less of it
i set a trigger weight instead of a target. if i cross it i go up a rung. that is my entire plan
whats your rule for when a fluctuation becomes a regain
holidays at maintenance are fine, i take the dose on the day and stop thinking about it
thats fluctuation
food noise coming back at a lower dose settled again after about four weeks for me
i came off for four months, put 10 back on, and came back. no drama in it, just numbers
i tried to come down and could not hold it, went back to treatment dose, and stopped apologising for it
mine held
harder than losing
everybody i have seen stop and hold it did something else as well, without exception in my time here
regain after stopping is the expected outcome, which is a horrible sentence and also what the data says
how do people handle a two week holiday at a maintenance dose
there is no trial on every ten days or every fortnight. people here do it and report on it and that is all we have
m0 118.4
m1 113.9
m2 110.2
m3 108.8
m4 108.1 <- the stall
m5 105.0
m6 101.6
m7 99.2i dropped from 15 to 12 for maintenance and held steady for fourteen months, ask me again in a month
if you find maintenance harder than the losing part you are in the majority in this room
[edited]unrelated but is this forever or is that just how it feels at month 9
regain after stopping is the expected outcome, which is a horrible sentence and also what the data says
if i go back up after regain does it work the same the second time
there is no official maintenance dose. it is a thing we do because the alternative on the table was stopping
set a trigger weight
regain is expected
how much protein were people eating at maintenance compared to while losing
did your maintenance dose end up higher or lower than you expected it to
coming down too fast was my mistake. top rung to the bottom rung inside a month and it was a bad month
thats FLOW
is there any trial data at all on a lower frequency schedule
lower frequency maintenance is genuinely unstudied. anybody telling you it is proven is making that up, from memory
update from 13 months ago: still at maintenance, still boring, which was always the goal
i was wrong about maintenance being the easy part and i had said so loudly for a year beforehand
