slightly off topic but the disorienting bit for me was realising how much of my day had been spent thinking about the next meal

TT

update from 11 months ago: the flatness lifted, slowly, and i did not have to change anything to make it, i think

people keep commenting on my body and i hate it, how do you handle that

TT

comments about my body were harder to take than any side effect and nobody warns you about it

[edited]
TT

update on the earlier thing does anyone talk to somebody professionally about this side of it

is anyone else more anxious about running out than about any side effect

does anyone else find compliments make them want to hide

SB

the identity part is the hardest thing about this and it gets talked about least, which is backwards, ask me again in a month

youre not alone in that

BB

quick one did the flatness lift on its own or did people have to do something about it

🙏1

i came back at month 17 to say thank you and got a much warmer response than i expected

that was me too

how do you deal with somebody saying you took the easy way

BB

i see somebody professionally about the eating side of this and it is the best money i have spent on any of it, i have it written down somewhere

SB

flat is the word i used too. not sad exactly, just less colour in things for a while

BB

i feel like a fraud reading the wins channel, does that go away
nobody in this room thinks less of you for needing a medication. genuinely nobody

im ashamed of needing a medication for this and i cant seem to shake it
the shame eased when i stopped thinking of it as a shortcut and started thinking of it as treatment

SB

the escalation nerves got smaller each time for me but they never went away entirely

BB

anxious every time i go up a dose, is that a known thing or just me

📈15📉16⚠️6

i read every twinge as something serious for the first three months and it does settle down

QH

i spent twenty years negotiating with myself about food and then the negotiation just stopped, and that took months to sit with

the shame eased when i stopped thinking of it as a shortcut and started thinking of it as treatment

LU

genuine question you are not the only person in here who has felt that, and i say that as somebody who was certain they were

PT

be kind to yourself

quick one the food noise went completely quiet and i dont know what to do with the silence, is that normal

i cook more now than i used to, i just eat less of it, and that compromise saved that part of me

QH

the food noise going quiet is the thing people are least prepared for. i sat in the kitchen at 8pm not knowing what i was for
