- acetate_ash — the running out anxiety is real and worth naming. i keep a spare month in the fridge and i sleep better for it, not advice obviously i read every twinge as something… 10:46
youre not alone in that
anxious every time i go up a dose, is that a known thing or just me
the disorienting bit for me was realising how much of my day had been spent thinking about the next meal
the plateau nearly ended it for me. what got me through was logging something other than my weight
ok so update from 9 months ago: the flatness lifted, slowly, and i did not have to change anything to make it
sorry to jump in somebody thanked me a year later for something i barely remember saying, and that is why i still read this every day
the escalation nerves got smaller each time for me but they never went away entirely, happy to be corrected
if you are struggling in a way this channel cannot hold, please talk to a professional. we are not a crisis service and we know it
i asked one relative to stop commenting. it was awkward for a week and it was worth it
the food noise going quiet is the thing people are least prepared for. i sat in the kitchen at 8pm not knowing what i was for
my mood dipped around week five and lifted by about week ten. i cannot tell you why either of those happened
the shame eased when i stopped thinking of it as a shortcut and started thinking of it as treatment
did anyone else grieve food a bit
not the easy way
mood dipped hard around week 27, did that lift for anyone
glad youre back
if all you managed today was the dose and some water, that counts and i mean that
thank you for saying it
youre not a fraud
hold on if you can
genuine question the food noise went completely quiet and i dont know what to do with the silence, is that normal
nobody says you took the easy way about a blood pressure tablet, and i keep that sentence ready for when i need it
the dose escalation nerves, does anyone have a routine that helps with them
it does lift
is anyone else more anxious about running out than about any side effect
New independent result logged — Homopeptide, lot E-2205, purity 99.2% (Medutest).
hold on if you can. week three is not the whole experience and a lot of us nearly stopped right there
the fraud feeling faded for me somewhere around the point i had kept it off longer than i took to lose it
you are not a fraud. you took a treatment and it worked. that really is the whole story, from memory
that was me too
i measured my waist and my walking pace during the plateau because both were still moving when the scale wasnt
right so i read every twinge as something serious for the first three months and it does settle down
nobody in this room thinks less of you for needing a medication. genuinely nobody
i cook more now than i used to, i just eat less of it, and that compromise saved that part of me
sorry to jump in im at month 20 and doing well and feel strangely sad about it, is that a thing
i get anxious the night before a dose increase, so i take it in the morning now and sleep first
does anyone else find compliments make them want to hide
right so has anyone found a way to celebrate that isnt about a number
were not clinicians
the running out anxiety is real and worth naming. i keep a spare month in the fridge and i sleep better for it, not advice obviously
i read every twinge as something serious for the first three months and it does settle down
please talk to somebody
coming back after 3 months to say thank you, is that alright to do in here

how do you stop reading every twinge as something serious
thats grief honestly
i am kinder to myself now than i was when i was heavier, and that is not because of the number
how do you tell family youre on this without getting a lecture back
flat is the word i used too. not sad exactly, just less colour in things for a while
i told my family at month four rather than week one, and the timing is what made it go well
that counts
it is a loss as well as a relief and you are allowed to say both of those things, we shall see
feeling more emotional generally came up for me too and i took that to my gp rather than to a channel
feeling more emotional generally came up for me too and i took that to my gp rather than to a channel, ill dig out the number
be kind to yourself
