i use it because needles are a genuine problem for me, not because i think its better

- step_one_sian — follow up took 29 weeks before i saw anything on oral, roughly twice what the injection took me 15:40
- taper_tess — changed my mind on the plain water rule after reading how SNAC works, its not a formality 19:53
- vik_verifies — quick one the non peptide orals are the interesting part of this channel now, not oral semaglutide 19:55
- sharps_bin_sid — roughly one percent gets absorbed, which is why the tablet strength looks nothing like an injectable dose 19:57
not a peptide
[edited]follow up took 29 weeks before i saw anything on oral, roughly twice what the injection took me
went back to injecting
[edited]one percent is the number people quote and the spread around it is the actual story
PIONEER not OASIS
my weekly log on oral is noisier than my injectable log ever was, same scales same mornings, ymmv
nobody should copy my morning routine, but the timer is the bit i would keep
is there any point splitting an oral dose
switched from injectable to oral, lost some of the effect, switched back after 22 months, ill dig out the number
lost 6kg over 9 months on oral, slower than my injectable stretch, i stuck with it anyway
went back to injecting because the morning routine was too fragile around shift work, ymmv
is the absorption variability why the oral doses look so high
set a timer
tea also does not count, in case anyone was hoping
splitting a dose made the absorption problem worse rather than better in my own log
plain water only, about half a glass, then nothing for 30 minutes. i follow it exactly, for what its worth
did anyone get consistent results on the oral or is it always patchy
fasted every morning
does the 30 minutes start from swallowing or from the water
took mine with breakfast once by accident and that week was a write off
oral was easier on my gut than injecting at what felt like a similar effect, which surprised me
the fasting window is the difference between a dose and a very expensive tablet
i keep the tablet by the kettle so i take it before i think about food
big mg small dose
i do 6am with water and eat at 7, thats been my routine for 3 months
the oral mg number is bigger because almost none of it gets in, thats the entire reason
SNAC does the work
my oral results were inconsistent week to week and i eventually decided it was me, not the tablet
technique probably
OASIS ran under the same sort of fasting conditions, thats not the variable between the two
PIONEER or OASIS, which one was the higher dose oral
changed my mind on the plain water rule after reading how SNAC works, its not a formality
quick one the non peptide orals are the interesting part of this channel now, not oral semaglutide
roughly one percent gets absorbed, which is why the tablet strength looks nothing like an injectable dose
how strict is the 30 minute wait before food for people here
the 30 minutes starts when you swallow it, and i set a timer because i cannot be trusted
i take mine at 6am, is 30 minutes really enough
update on the earlier thing back after 13 months, has anything changed on the oral side
anyone dosing oral because of a needle problem rather than preference
