Highlights from this day
  • customs_owl — the oral disappointed me on the mornings i couldnt manage 30 minutes fasted, which was most of them, still working it out 18:16
  • swab_dry_first — nobody should copy my morning routine, but the timer is the bit i would keep, thats just me 19:07
  • logrotate — does coffee count as plain water, asking for obvious reasons 19:25

ok so is there any point splitting an oral dose

absorption is the variable, not the molecule. same tablet, different morning, different result

BR

i use it because needles are a genuine problem for me, not because i think its better

CO

orforglipron is a small molecule rather than a peptide, which is why the fasting conditions differ

the oral disappointed me on the mornings i couldnt manage 30 minutes fasted, which was most of them, still working it out

PP

the 30 minutes starts when you swallow it, and i set a timer because i cannot be trusted

is the inconsistency people report about the drug or about how they take it

SD

my weekly log on oral is noisier than my injectable log ever was, same scales same mornings

PP

how strict is the 30 minute wait before food for people here

CO

changed my mind on the plain water rule after reading how SNAC works, its not a formality

SD

nobody should copy my morning routine, but the timer is the bit i would keep, thats just me

💀7🤝31

anyone tracking whether their oral results line up week to week

OW

sorry to jump in why is the oral dose in mg so much bigger than the injectable one

LO

took 15 weeks before i saw anything on oral, roughly twice what the injection took me

unrelated but why does the same tablet do different things week to week

does coffee count as plain water, asking for obvious reasons

OW

update on the earlier thing anyone switched from injectable to oral and kept the same effect

OW

OASIS ran under the same sort of fasting conditions, thats not the variable between the two

SNAC does the work

OW

the fasting rule cost me my breakfast routine and thats the real reason people quit the oral
absorption is the variable, not the molecule. same tablet, different morning, different result

LO

one percent is the number people quote and the spread around it is the actual story

*PeptideMeter not the other one

about one percent

went back to injecting

LO

went back to injecting because the morning routine was too fragile around shift work

TA

coffee is not plain water. i tried it for a month and my results got worse

TA

PIONEER was the original oral semaglutide programme and OASIS looked at the higher oral doses

the inconsistency is mostly technique and admitting that took me about a year

SD

lost 19kg over 12 months on oral, slower than my injectable stretch, i stuck with it anyway

whats the bioavailability actually like, i keep seeing about one percent

SS

i was wrong about the water amount, i was using a sip and it needs a lot more than that

LL

i keep the tablet by the kettle so i take it before i think about food
