Highlights from this day
  • alt_ast_ali — took 13 weeks before i saw anything on oral, roughly twice what the injection took me, thats just me 12:08
  • VialBot — Verification log updated: WXT — evidence added, status unchanged. 12:47
  • dublin_dose — the oral disappointed me on the mornings i couldnt manage 30 minutes fasted, which was most of them 15:49
  • dublin_dose — the inconsistency is mostly technique and admitting that took me about a year, still working it out 17:12
  • per_mg_pete — does taking it with any food at all just waste the dose 17:49
PF

is the inconsistency people report about the drug or about how they take it

LN

switched from injectable to oral, lost some of the effect, switched back after 11 months

PIONEER was the original oral semaglutide programme and OASIS looked at the higher oral doses

PF

sorry to jump in the fasting rule cost me my breakfast routine and thats the real reason people quit the oral

set a timer

changed my mind on the plain water rule after reading how SNAC works, its not a formality

BB

does coffee count as plain water, asking for obvious reasons

Oral Semaglutide 50 mg in Adults with Overweight or Obesity (OASIS 1)

The high-dose oral. Absorption rules matter enormously here.
PF

SNAC raises the local pH and protects it long enough to cross, thats its whole job

BB

the fasting window is the difference between a dose and a very expensive tablet, n of 1 obviously

📉3🔥6
LN

genuine question how strict is the 30 minute wait before food for people here

ruined my breakfast

VB

Reminder for alt_ast_ali: dose day is today. Set 8 days ago.

AA

absorption is the variable, not the molecule. same tablet, different morning, different result

quick one is there any point splitting an oral dose

is the non peptide thing why orforglipron doesnt need the fasting rules

fasted every morning

CH

OASIS ran under the same sort of fasting conditions, thats not the variable between the two, i could be wrong

SNAC does the work

PIONEER or OASIS, which one was the higher dose oral

PIONEER not OASIS

VB

Verification log updated: WXT — evidence added, status unchanged.

CH

my weekly log on oral is noisier than my injectable log ever was, same scales same mornings

CH

how long before the oral did anything measurable for you
absorption is the variable, not the molecule. same tablet, different morning, different result

PS

right so does the 30 minutes start from swallowing or from the water

SA

one percent is the number people quote and the spread around it is the actual story

SA

i was wrong about the water amount, i was using a sip and it needs a lot more than that

❤️3😂1🎉3

the non peptide agents dose daily without the water ritual, thats the practical difference

SA

the 30 minutes starts when you swallow it, and i set a timer because i cannot be trusted

VB

Batch lookup B-0114: 7 independent reports on file, earliest 2026-02-03.

DD

the oral disappointed me on the mornings i couldnt manage 30 minutes fasted, which was most of them

PS

plain water only, about half a glass, then nothing for 30 minutes. i follow it exactly

DD

whats the bioavailability actually like, i keep seeing about one percent

DD

the inconsistency is mostly technique and admitting that took me about a year, still working it out

CH

i use it because needles are a genuine problem for me, not because i think its better

does taking it with any food at all just waste the dose

🧪7❤️6👍15

the oral mg number is bigger because almost none of it gets in, thats the entire reason

mine was patchy too

LN

splitting a dose made the absorption problem worse rather than better in my own log

CH

is the plain water rule actually load bearing or is it a formality
