- willow_waits — coming back to this i triple check the address and i have still had a moment of pure panic every single time 15:02

stablecoin while pending
thats a scam pattern
do the fee maths
a stablecoin while the order is pending removes one variable you do not need, anyway
paying in two parts is sometimes offered and it does not reduce your risk, it splits it
i wait for the confirmations the supplier states and then one more before i chase anything
work out the network fee before you take the ten percent discount. sometimes it eats it
do not send a test payment to prove anything to anyone. that is a pattern, not a precaution
[edited]i keep every transaction reference in a note with the order. it has been useful twice, anyway
what happens if the price moves between invoice and payment
the discount pattern is roughly ten percent almost everywhere and it is a real saving at volume
a wrong network transfer is gone. nobody can get it back for you and nobody here will try
unrelated but update from 17 months ago: fees are lower than they were and the discount maths has changed
post it in scam watch
right so whats a reasonable network fee to accept
the mods stop escrow conversations immediately and they are right to
invoice says $38 and my total came out different, whos wrong
nobody can verify an address belongs to who you think it does. that is the actual problem with all of this
*that should say weekly
discount is standard now
triple check it
check the first four and the last four characters of the address. every single time, no exceptions
how many confirmations before a supplier usually marks it paid
no escrow here
check the total
coming back to this i triple check the address and i have still had a moment of pure panic every single time
check first and last four
i have had a payment confirm and the order not update for two days. it resolved with one polite message
*Janoshik not the other one
refunds do happen and they are slow and awkward. do not count on one
polite message usually fixes it
is paying in two parts ever sensible
is there any chargeback route at all
no chargebacks
