  • amylin_amy — coming back to this do not add more bac water to an already reconstituted vial, you have lost track of the concentration 16:22
TE

bac water or sterile water for something im going into weekly for 7 weeks

VL

coming back after 13 months, has the pinned recon volume advice changed

label the vial

the last few units are a real loss. i accept it rather than tilting the vial and drawing air

LM

quick one if you draw up with a bigger pin and inject with a fresh one you lose a bit more to dead space

VL

weighing the vial before you reconstitute is the only way to catch an underfill

gross powder mass is not net peptide. water and counterion are in that number

the powder is stuck to the stopper, do i care

FU

LM

ok so i use bac water even for a single-use vial because it stings less, which is not the reason it exists

AA

a slightly collapsed cake is cosmetic. a puddle in the bottom is not

LM

my rule is one concentration for everything so i never have to think about it at 7am, your mileage will differ

update from 9 months ago: switched to a single concentration and have not miscalculated since

AA

coming back to this do not add more bac water to an already reconstituted vial, you have lost track of the concentration

one unit is 0.01ml

MS

swirl it. do not shake it. the foam is denatured protein and you are not getting it back, i think
