Highlights from this day
  • cagri_curious — changed my mind on the four week rule, i think it depends entirely on how the current dose feels 16:06
  • cagri_curious — FLOW was the kidney outcomes trial and it gets quoted in here for things it didnt measure 16:30
  • power_cut_pia — the appetite effect faded for me around 11 months and going up fixed it for a while 18:35

did anybody find a difference between ERP and pharmacy at the same 2

back after 18 months off, do i restart at 0.25 or somewhere higher

does moving my dose day by two days matter with a seven day half life

my plateau was the scale stopping while appetite stayed suppressed, which is a different problem

did the STEP 4 withdrawal arm show what i think it showed

steady state is the bit people skip, judging a new dose after eight days tells you almost nothing

vials not pens here

did anyone hold at 0.25 longer than four weeks before going up

i held at 2.5 for 6 months and it was the best decision i made

2.4 is the ceiling

went too fast once

🔥9❤️1📈1

give it four weeks

HH

mine faded too

quick one if youre comparing brand to compounded, dose accuracy in the vial is the variable, not the molecule, happy to be corrected

CC

restarted after 12 months off at a low dose and the nausea arrived exactly like the first time, from memory

the trials titrated on a fixed schedule, most people here dont, worth remembering when comparing

not the same trial

SELECT wasnt weight

CC

compounded and brand felt the same to me at 0.5, which is one person and nothing more

changed my mind on the four week rule, i think it depends entirely on how the current dose feels

Trial scheduleWhat most people here do
Step interval4 weeks, fixed4-12 weeks, on symptoms
Holdingprotocol deviationnormal and expected
Top dosereached by designoften never reached
Coming downnot studiedcommon at maintenance
TL

dose day is sunday for me only because thats when i remember, not because sunday matters, not advice obviously

anyone gone from 5 straight to 1.7 or is that too big a jump

CC

FLOW was the kidney outcomes trial and it gets quoted in here for things it didnt measure

PP

12 months at 2.4 and the honest summary is diminishing returns after the first half

PP

was SURMOUNT-OSA the one that ran to 68 weeks or am i mixing them up

is the plateau at 30 weeks normal or am i doing something wrong

4
TE

licensed ceiling for weight is 2.4 weekly, anything above that is not a licensed dose

📈1
TE

i dont think the plateau is a dose problem most of the time, but i cant prove that

TE

for the archive brand vs compounded, is there a difference people can actually feel

TE

went to 2.4 and the extra suppression wasnt worth the GI for me, so i came back down, ask me again in a month

WT

vial units and pen clicks are different systems, mixing the two is how people end up wrong

PC

is the plateau usually appetite coming back or just the scale stopping

PC

half life is about a week so youre roughly four to five weeks to steady state on any new dose

my dose day drifted from friday to sunday, does that reset anything

STEP 4 had the withdrawal arm, thats the one people quote when they talk about stopping

1

went 1 to 1.7 too fast and spent two weeks regretting it, dropped back and repeated the step

[edited]

i was wrong about the ceiling for a year, i thought 3 existed. it doesnt for the weight indication

the appetite effect faded for me around 11 months and going up fixed it for a while

wk 1-4 0.25mg
wk 5-10 0.50mg (held 2 extra weeks)
wk 11-14 1.00mg
wk 15-26 1.70mg (held, long)
wk 27+ 2.40mg
CC

five week steps worked better for me than four, purely on how the second week felt

my Janoshik report on the HJ vial came back 97.4 against a certificate saying 99.4
i stayed on 1.7 for 15 months and never went to 2.4, appetite was already where i needed it

STEP is several trials, so saying STEP said x is usually wrong without a number after it

how long did the first 45kg take for people at the low doses

moving my dose day by a day or two never did anything noticeable for me

SO

going slow cost me nothing except time and saved me two bad weeks, thats my whole contribution, ask me again in a month
