Highlights from this day
  • cold_pack_carla — moving my dose day by a day or two never did anything noticeable for me, thats one data point 17:13
  • cold_pack_carla — STEP is several trials, so saying STEP said x is usually wrong without a number after it 17:37
  • a1c_lag — STEP 1 ran to 68 weeks. thats the one everyone half remembers 18:15
  • deamidation — brand vs compounded, is there a difference people can actually feel 18:31
  • cat_on_the_tray — does the seven day half life mean the last two days are weaker 20:23

restarted after 11 months off at a low dose and the nausea arrived exactly like the first time

the long half life flattens the trough more than people expect, i never felt a day seven dip

2.4 is the ceiling

HH

while im here changed my mind on the four week rule, i think it depends entirely on how the current dose feels

CP

my Janoshik report on the JEEP vial came back 97.4 against a certificate saying 99.4, ill dig out the number

is there a reason to hold at 1.7 rather than going to 2.4

🙏10📉4
A1

the trials titrated on a fixed schedule, most people here dont, worth remembering when comparing

DO

vial units and pen clicks are different systems, mixing the two is how people end up wrong

DO

i stayed on 1.7 for 2 months and never went to 2.4, appetite was already where i needed it

1❤️4

not the same trial

held there too

i dont think the plateau is a dose problem most of the time, but i cant prove that

A1

how many weeks before you noticed anything at 0.25

sorry to jump in anyone gone from 0.5 straight to 1.7 or is that too big a jump

if youre comparing brand to compounded, dose accuracy in the vial is the variable, not the molecule

coming back to this compounded and brand felt the same to me at 10, which is one person and nothing more

A1

half life is about a week so youre roughly four to five weeks to steady state on any new dose, take that with a pinch of salt

CP

is the plateau usually appetite coming back or just the scale stopping
going slow cost me nothing except time and saved me two bad weeks, thats my whole contribution

CP

moving my dose day by a day or two never did anything noticeable for me, thats one data point

A1

went 1 to 1.7 too fast and spent two weeks regretting it, dropped back and repeated the step

STEP is several trials, so saying STEP said x is usually wrong without a number after it

CP

STEP 4 had the withdrawal arm, thats the one people quote when they talk about stopping

my 5 vial in 1ml gives 10mg/ml so 1 lands on 25 units, thats why i picked that volume

right so i was wrong about the ceiling for a year, i thought 3 existed. it doesnt for the weight indication

A1

steady state is the bit people skip, judging a new dose after eight days tells you almost nothing

A1

€55 a month for compounded against what brand costs locally is why most people here use vials

[edited]

how did people handle the jump from 1 to 1.7

STEP 1 ran to 68 weeks. thats the one everyone half remembers

🤝13🔥1❤️1
DO

five week steps worked better for me than four, purely on how the second week felt

DE

brand vs compounded, is there a difference people can actually feel

❤️10👍9📉1
DO

unrelated but im at 7.5 and stuck, did anyone break a plateau without going up

thats STEP 1

did the STEP 4 withdrawal arm show what i think it showed

CP

dose day is sunday for me only because thats when i remember, not because sunday matters

for the archive going slow cost me nothing except time and saved me two bad weeks, thats my whole contribution

i held at 7.5 for 4 months and it was the best decision i made

SS

FLOW was the kidney outcomes trial and it gets quoted in here for things it didnt measure, from memory

CP

the appetite effect faded for me around 8 months and going up fixed it for a while

CO

went to 2.4 and the extra suppression wasnt worth the GI for me, so i came back down

my plateau was the scale stopping while appetite stayed suppressed, which is a different problem, take that with a pinch of salt

24 months at 2.4 and the honest summary is diminishing returns after the first half, take that with a pinch of salt

same dose day
