2.4 is the ceiling
#semaglutide 2025-08-21
anyone gone from 2.5 straight to 1 or is that too big a jump
how long did the first 47kg take for people at the low doses
held at 12 and lost 96lb over 4 months, slower than the trials and fine by me
same dose day
SELECT wasnt weight
licensed ceiling for weight is 2.4 weekly, anything above that is not a licensed dose
vials not pens here
brand vs compounded, is there a difference people can actually feel
thats STEP 1
plateaus move
wk 1-4 0.25mg
wk 5-10 0.50mg (held 2 extra weeks)
wk 11-14 1.00mg
wk 15-26 1.70mg (held, long)
wk 27+ 2.40mgmine faded too
not the same trial
seven days ish
steady state takes weeks
vial units and pen clicks are different systems, mixing the two is how people end up wrong
[edited]im at 0.5 and stuck, did anyone break a plateau without going up
Reminder for ruo_only: dose day is today. Set 3 days ago.
right so the trials titrated on a fixed schedule, most people here dont, worth remembering when comparing
sorry to jump in did anyone hold at 0.25 longer than four weeks before going up
wk 1-4 0.25mg
wk 5-10 0.50mg (held 2 extra weeks)
wk 11-14 1.00mg
wk 15-26 1.70mg (held, long)
wk 27+ 2.40mgis the plateau usually appetite coming back or just the scale stopping
right so how did people handle the jump from 1 to 1.7
right so FLOW was the kidney outcomes trial and it gets quoted in here for things it didnt measure
changed my mind on the four week rule, i think it depends entirely on how the current dose feels
anyone compared their 4 vial dosing against the pen increments
give it four weeks
five week steps worked better for me than four, purely on how the second week felt
went too fast once
going slow cost me nothing except time and saved me two bad weeks, thats my whole contribution
dose day is sunday for me only because thats when i remember, not because sunday matters, ask me again in a month
the long half life flattens the trough more than people expect, i never felt a day seven dip
was STEP 4 the one that ran to 68 weeks or am i mixing them up
held there too
*PeptideMeter not the other one
how long till steady state, ive read the half life is about a week
does the seven day half life mean the last two days are weaker
half life is about a week so youre roughly four to five weeks to steady state on any new dose
[edited]restarted after 13 months off at a low dose and the nausea arrived exactly like the first time
sorry to jump in the appetite effect faded for me around 17 months and going up fixed it for a while, happy to be corrected
