does moving my dose day by two days matter with a seven day half life
#semaglutide 2026-02-24
- vialkeeper — my dose day drifted from friday to sunday, does that reset anything went 1 to 1.7 too fast and spent two weeks regretting it, dropped back and repeated the step 19:27
- coa_or_cope — restarted after 4 months off at a low dose and the nausea arrived exactly like the first time 21:58
- coa_or_cope — im at 1.7 and stuck, did anyone break a plateau without going up 21:59
changed my mind on the four week rule, i think it depends entirely on how the current dose feels, take that with a pinch of salt
STEP is several trials, so saying STEP said x is usually wrong without a number after it
if youre comparing brand to compounded, dose accuracy in the vial is the variable, not the molecule
for the archive i stayed on 1.7 for 14 months and never went to 2.4, appetite was already where i needed it
vials not pens here
was FLOW the one that ran to 68 weeks or am i mixing them up

2.4 is the ceiling
*VendorInvestigate not the other one
brand vs compounded, is there a difference people can actually feel
i stayed on 1.7 for 1 months and never went to 2.4, appetite was already where i needed it
does the licensed ceiling for weight differ from the diabetes one
licensed ceiling for weight is 2.4 weekly, anything above that is not a licensed dose
going slow cost me nothing except time and saved me two bad weeks, thats my whole contribution
not the same trial
dose day is sunday for me only because thats when i remember, not because sunday matters
the trials titrated on a fixed schedule, most people here dont, worth remembering when comparing
is there a reason to hold at 1.7 rather than going to 2.4
held at 0.25 and lost 9lb over 26 months, slower than the trials and fine by me
ok so half life is about a week so youre roughly four to five weeks to steady state on any new dose
STEP is several trials, so saying STEP said x is usually wrong without a number after it
back after 22 months off, do i restart at 0.25 or somewhere higher
| Trial schedule | What most people here do | |
|---|---|---|
| Step interval | 4 weeks, fixed | 4-12 weeks, on symptoms |
| Holding | protocol deviation | normal and expected |
| Top dose | reached by design | often never reached |
| Coming down | not studied | common at maintenance |
Reminder for thank_you_year_on: dose day is today. Set 3 days ago.
does the seven day half life mean the last two days are weaker
4 months at 2.4 and the honest summary is diminishing returns after the first half
thats STEP 1
wk 1-4 0.25mg
wk 5-10 0.50mg (held 2 extra weeks)
wk 11-14 1.00mg
wk 15-26 1.70mg (held, long)
wk 27+ 2.40mgwent 1 to 1.7 too fast and spent two weeks regretting it, dropped back and repeated the step
SELECT was cardiovascular outcomes in people with overweight and existing disease, not a weight trial
is the plateau usually appetite coming back or just the scale stopping
my plateau was the scale stopping while appetite stayed suppressed, which is a different problem
wk 1-4 0.25mg
wk 5-10 0.50mg (held 2 extra weeks)
wk 11-14 1.00mg
wk 15-26 1.70mg (held, long)
wk 27+ 2.40mgi was wrong about the ceiling for a year, i thought 3 existed. it doesnt for the weight indication, i think
Recon calculator: 15mg in 1ml = 2.5mg/ml.
same dose day
compounded and brand felt the same to me at 2.4, which is one person and nothing more
does anyone actually run a five week step instead of four
for the archive i dont think the plateau is a dose problem most of the time, but i cant prove that
steady state is the bit people skip, judging a new dose after eight days tells you almost nothing
my PeptideMeter report on the HJ vial came back 96.8 against a certificate saying 97.4
restarted after 4 months off at a low dose and the nausea arrived exactly like the first time
im at 1.7 and stuck, did anyone break a plateau without going up
FLOW was the kidney outcomes trial and it gets quoted in here for things it didnt measure, ask me again in a month
