Highlights from this day
  • taper_tess — restarted after 4 months off at a low dose and the nausea arrived exactly like the first time 21:56
  • cat_on_the_tray — 26 months at 2.4 and the honest summary is diminishing returns after the first half 22:29
  • no_escrow_nate — sorry to jump in brand vs compounded, is there a difference people can actually feel the trials titrated on a fixed schedule, most people here dont, worth remembering… 22:47
  • surpass_two — whats the actual licensed ceiling, i keep seeing different numbers 22:49
  • surpass_two — held at 2 and lost 56lb over 9 months, slower than the trials and fine by me 22:52

my VendorInvestigate report on the FGP vial came back 99.2 against a certificate saying 98.6

vial units and pen clicks are different systems, mixing the two is how people end up wrong

does anyone actually run a five week step instead of four

ok so licensed ceiling for weight is 2.4 weekly, anything above that is not a licensed dose, we shall see

wk 1-4 0.25mg
wk 5-10 0.50mg (held 2 extra weeks)
wk 11-14 1.00mg
wk 15-26 1.70mg (held, long)
wk 27+ 2.40mg

STEP 1 ran to 68 weeks. thats the one everyone half remembers

TT

unrelated but went to 2.4 and the extra suppression wasnt worth the GI for me, so i came back down

TT

my plateau was the scale stopping while appetite stayed suppressed, which is a different problem

restarted after 4 months off at a low dose and the nausea arrived exactly like the first time

*VendorInvestigate not the other one

i dont think the plateau is a dose problem most of the time, but i cant prove that, i have it written down somewhere

lost about 48kg on the low doses before i even got to 1, which surprised me, i think

TT

steady state is the bit people skip, judging a new dose after eight days tells you almost nothing

going slow cost me nothing except time and saved me two bad weeks, thats my whole contribution

i held at 2 for 9 months and it was the best decision i made

right so im at 1.7 and stuck, did anyone break a plateau without going up

how many weeks before you noticed anything at 2

NE

coming back to this i stayed on 1.7 for 18 months and never went to 2.4, appetite was already where i needed it

PP

how did people handle the jump from 1 to 1.7

📈4🤝1🧪3

my 15 vial in 1.5ml gives 10mg/ml so 2.4 lands on 50 units, thats why i picked that volume

PP

dose day is sunday for me only because thats when i remember, not because sunday matters

NE

STEP 4 had the withdrawal arm, thats the one people quote when they talk about stopping

held there too

the long half life flattens the trough more than people expect, i never felt a day seven dip

*Janoshik not the other one

26 months at 2.4 and the honest summary is diminishing returns after the first half

📉18🤝3🧊2

i was wrong about the ceiling for a year, i thought 3 existed. it doesnt for the weight indication

five week steps worked better for me than four, purely on how the second week felt, your mileage will differ

👍3🙏4

did anyone hold at 0.25 longer than four weeks before going up

half life is about a week so youre roughly four to five weeks to steady state on any new dose

slower worked better

NE

the appetite effect faded for me around 21 months and going up fixed it for a while, from memory

QH

the trials titrated on a fixed schedule, most people here dont, worth remembering when comparing

ST

$120 a month for compounded against what brand costs locally is why most people here use vials, ymmv

sorry to jump in brand vs compounded, is there a difference people can actually feel

👀17🙏3🧊1

moving my dose day by a day or two never did anything noticeable for me

ST

changed my mind on the four week rule, i think it depends entirely on how the current dose feels

📉2

plateaus move

BB

if youre comparing brand to compounded, dose accuracy in the vial is the variable, not the molecule

CF

FLOW was the kidney outcomes trial and it gets quoted in here for things it didnt measure

STEP is several trials, so saying STEP said x is usually wrong without a number after it

thats STEP 1

how long till steady state, ive read the half life is about a week

was FLOW the one that ran to 68 weeks or am i mixing them up

FM

im 17 months in at 1 and the appetite effect faded, is that a thing

🔥17

2.4 is the ceiling

QH

what did SELECT actually measure, i see it quoted for everything

NE

compounded and brand felt the same to me at 2, which is one person and nothing more
