Highlights from this day
  • food_noise_off — unrelated but the plateau hit me at 16 weeks and moved again about a month later without a dose change 10:16
  • pbs_pip — changed my mind on the four week rule, i think it depends entirely on how the current dose feels 10:29
  • pbs_pip — right so my plateau was the scale stopping while appetite stayed suppressed, which is a different problem 15:22
  • marrow.mod — moving my dose day by a day or two never did anything noticeable for me 17:20
  • marrow.mod — the long half life flattens the trough more than people expect, i never felt a day seven dip five week steps worked better for me than four, purely on how the second… 17:49
ST

went 1 to 1.7 too fast and spent two weeks regretting it, dropped back and repeated the step

PS

i dont think the plateau is a dose problem most of the time, but i cant prove that

PS

does moving my dose day by two days matter with a seven day half life

SD

FLOW was the kidney outcomes trial and it gets quoted in here for things it didnt measure, thats one data point
compounded and brand felt the same to me at 1.7, which is one person and nothing more

FN

EO

genuine question my Janoshik report on the WWB vial came back 99 against a certificate saying 96.8

PP

whats the actual licensed ceiling, i keep seeing different numbers

half life is about a week so youre roughly four to five weeks to steady state on any new dose

PP

my dose day drifted from friday to sunday, does that reset anything

sorry to jump in is 2.4 the top or do people go past it

PP

how long did the first 28kg take for people at the low doses

genuine question was SELECT the one that ran to 68 weeks or am i mixing them up

11:42marrow.mod pinned a message

i held at 12 for 4 months and it was the best decision i made

*VendorInvestigate not the other one

how long till steady state, ive read the half life is about a week

if youre comparing brand to compounded, dose accuracy in the vial is the variable, not the molecule

sorry to jump in SELECT was cardiovascular outcomes in people with overweight and existing disease, not a weight trial

SD

going slow cost me nothing except time and saved me two bad weeks, thats my whole contribution

SD

licensed ceiling for weight is 2.4 weekly, anything above that is not a licensed dose

13 months at 2.4 and the honest summary is diminishing returns after the first half

SS

lost about 3kg on the low doses before i even got to 1, which surprised me

HH

did anybody find a difference between SGN and pharmacy at the same 5

SD

the trials titrated on a fixed schedule, most people here dont, worth remembering when comparing

Trial scheduleWhat most people here do
Step interval4 weeks, fixed4-12 weeks, on symptoms
Holdingprotocol deviationnormal and expected
Top dosereached by designoften never reached
Coming downnot studiedcommon at maintenance
TW

unrelated but my 10 vial in 1.5ml gives 8mg/ml so 2 lands on 5 units, thats why i picked that volume

SD

i was wrong about the ceiling for a year, i thought 3 existed. it doesnt for the weight indication, thats one data point

EE

im at 7.5 and stuck, did anyone break a plateau without going up

📈16👀15
PP

five week steps worked better for me than four, purely on how the second week felt

PP

right so my plateau was the scale stopping while appetite stayed suppressed, which is a different problem

EE

went to 2.4 and the extra suppression wasnt worth the GI for me, so i came back down

anyone compared their 4 vial dosing against the pen increments

PP

does the licensed ceiling for weight differ from the diabetes one

PP

held at 15 and lost 18lb over 25 months, slower than the trials and fine by me

[edited]

what did SELECT actually measure, i see it quoted for everything

👀4⚠️2🙏2

is the plateau usually appetite coming back or just the scale stopping

MM

moving my dose day by a day or two never did anything noticeable for me

👀17🤝2

STEP 4 had the withdrawal arm, thats the one people quote when they talk about stopping

2.4 is the ceiling

quick one €94 a month for compounded against what brand costs locally is why most people here use vials

brand vs compounded, is there a difference people can actually feel

right so how many weeks before you noticed anything at 15

for the archive compounded and brand felt the same to me at 1, which is one person and nothing more

vial units and pen clicks are different systems, mixing the two is how people end up wrong

dose day is sunday for me only because thats when i remember, not because sunday matters
