anyone gone from 1.7 straight to 2.5 or is that too big a jump

- knees_first — licensed ceiling for weight is 2.4 weekly, anything above that is not a licensed dose 19:11
- step_one_sian — dose day is sunday for me only because thats when i remember, not because sunday matters half life is about a week so youre roughly four to five weeks to steady state… 19:20
- rezept_rolf — the appetite effect faded for me around 5 months and going up fixed it for a while 19:33
- half_life_hal — i stayed on 1.7 for 17 months and never went to 2.4, appetite was already where i needed it 20:11
- a1c_lag — while im here is 2.4 the top or do people go past it 23:12
licensed ceiling for weight is 2.4 weekly, anything above that is not a licensed dose
[edited]half life is about a week so youre roughly four to five weeks to steady state on any new dose
does moving my dose day by two days matter with a seven day half life
dose day is sunday for me only because thats when i remember, not because sunday matters
half life is about a week so youre roughly four to five weeks to steady state on any new dose
2.4 is the ceiling
went to 2.4 and the extra suppression wasnt worth the GI for me, so i came back down
wk 1-4 0.25mg
wk 5-10 0.50mg (held 2 extra weeks)
wk 11-14 1.00mg
wk 15-26 1.70mg (held, long)
wk 27+ 2.40mgplateaus move

the appetite effect faded for me around 5 months and going up fixed it for a while
five week steps worked better for me than four, purely on how the second week felt
10 months at 2.4 and the honest summary is diminishing returns after the first half, ymmv
changed my mind on the four week rule, i think it depends entirely on how the current dose feels
not the same trial
the trials titrated on a fixed schedule, most people here dont, worth remembering when comparing
held there too
| Trial schedule | What most people here do | |
|---|---|---|
| Step interval | 4 weeks, fixed | 4-12 weeks, on symptoms |
| Holding | protocol deviation | normal and expected |
| Top dose | reached by design | often never reached |
| Coming down | not studied | common at maintenance |
seven days ish
i held at 2.4 for 8 months and it was the best decision i made
follow up what did SELECT actually measure, i see it quoted for everything
back after 8 months off, do i restart at 0.25 or somewhere higher
is the plateau usually appetite coming back or just the scale stopping
i stayed on 1.7 for 17 months and never went to 2.4, appetite was already where i needed it
while im here did anybody find a difference between WXT and pharmacy at the same 0.5
sorry to jump in STEP 1 ran to 68 weeks. thats the one everyone half remembers
going slow cost me nothing except time and saved me two bad weeks, thats my whole contribution
my 5 vial in 2.5ml gives 8mg/ml so 0.5 lands on 5 units, thats why i picked that volume
i was wrong about the ceiling for a year, i thought 3 existed. it doesnt for the weight indication
same dose day
vial units and pen clicks are different systems, mixing the two is how people end up wrong
ok so my plateau was the scale stopping while appetite stayed suppressed, which is a different problem
update on the earlier thing STEP 4 had the withdrawal arm, thats the one people quote when they talk about stopping
anyone compared their 8 vial dosing against the pen increments
my dose day drifted from friday to sunday, does that reset anything
did anyone hold at 5 longer than four weeks before going up
went too fast once
steady state is the bit people skip, judging a new dose after eight days tells you almost nothing
for the archive im at 2 and stuck, did anyone break a plateau without going up
the long half life flattens the trough more than people expect, i never felt a day seven dip
my VendorInvestigate report on the KP vial came back 96.8 against a certificate saying 99.4
*Medutest not the other one
while im here did anyone titrate slower than four weeks a step and how did that go
whats the actual licensed ceiling, i keep seeing different numbers
SELECT wasnt weight
update on the earlier thing does the licensed ceiling for weight differ from the diabetes one
is there a reason to hold at 1.7 rather than going to 2.4
if youre comparing brand to compounded, dose accuracy in the vial is the variable, not the molecule, from memory
im 9 months in at 15 and the appetite effect faded, is that a thing
unrelated but lost about 22kg on the low doses before i even got to 1, which surprised me
coming back to this how long did the first 48kg take for people at the low doses
how long till steady state, ive read the half life is about a week
thats STEP 1
for the archive slower worked better
give it four weeks
genuine question how many weeks before you noticed anything at 0.25
how did people handle the jump from 1 to 1.7
ok so did the STEP 4 withdrawal arm show what i think it showed
compounded and brand felt the same to me at 15, which is one person and nothing more
FLOW was the kidney outcomes trial and it gets quoted in here for things it didnt measure, not advice obviously
steady state takes weeks
does the seven day half life mean the last two days are weaker
i dont think the plateau is a dose problem most of the time, but i cant prove that
11 months at 2.4 and the honest summary is diminishing returns after the first half
vials not pens here
STEP is several trials, so saying STEP said x is usually wrong without a number after it
while im here is 2.4 the top or do people go past it
mine faded too
