  • yyz_vial — nobody here can tell you what will clear customs where you live and the mods stop that conversation quickly 20:56
  • back_from_away — if you query a missing parcel, be factual and patient. the good suppliers respond to that update from 14 months ago: Sweden transit has got slower, consistently,… 21:10

paying for a faster service does not speed up customs. it speeds up the legs either side of customs

got a seizure letter, what actually happens next

cold pack arrived warm after 23 days, does it matter

the parcel is the risk you accepted. that is worth remembering before it becomes a crisis
signature requirements slow things down and do not obviously reduce loss

unrelated but tracking has been dark for 4 days, at what point do i worry

thats a stock split

anyone had a split shipment arrive weeks apart

YV

is vat charged on the declared value or what they think it is worth

MM

has anyone had a parcel arrive after being marked as returned

YV

winter shipping into a cold country risks freezing, which is a different problem from heat and gets discussed less, we shall see

a seizure letter is usually the end of it. you have lost the parcel and that is almost always the whole consequence

MM

coming back after 2 months, has anything changed with New Zealand

OO

split shipments arriving weeks apart is normal and is usually a stock thing, not a customs thing

i have lost 2 parcels in three years across a lot of orders. that is the actual rate for me

1🔥2

quick one tracking going dark for a week or ten days at a port is common and resolves on its own most of the time
vat is usually charged on declared value plus shipping, and the handling fee is often more than the vat

OO

a port stall is not the same as a customs hold and the tracking language usually distinguishes them

does a signature requirement help or hurt

nobody here can tell you what will clear customs where you live and the mods stop that conversation quickly

d0 label created
d2 accepted, origin
d4 departed origin
d6 in transit
d6-16 nothing at all
d17 arrived destination country
d19 customs cleared
d21 delivered

the same address every time is fine. a different address every time looks worse, not better

customs charge came to €240, is that normal for the UK

postal has been better than courier for me every single time. couriers are more thorough

reship policies vary enormously. HJ honoured one for me without being pushed, which is not universal
