while im here sample handling on your end absolutely affects it. draw cleanly, ship fast, do not let it sit warm, ill dig out the number
#test-results 2025-07-25
- verify_or_dont — a single sample tells you about a single vial. that is genuinely all it tells you 07:31
- deamidation — does anyone log the negative results, the boring ones 08:38
- panel_before_after — while im here i told WXT about a result they would not have liked and they did not argue. credit where it is due 08:54
- alcohol_hits — is it worth testing if the vial has already been through a warm transit 09:08
- VialBot — Verification log updated: QYB — evidence added, status unchanged. 09:14
quick one post the lot, the purchase month, the lab, the number, and what you were expecting. that makes it useful later
if the vial has been through a bad transit you are testing the transit as much as the supplier
the widest spread in my data is about 2.6 percentage points across five lots from one supplier
how much does sample handling on my end affect the number
[edited]update from 8 months ago: retested the same supplier, result came back better, logged both
a single sample tells you about a single vial. that is genuinely all it tells you
| Evidence | Counts? |
|---|---|
| Independent report, lot you bought, lot number legible | yes |
| Independent report, no lot number | no |
| Supplier certificate only | no |
| Screenshot of a report | no |
| Blinded pooled submission | yes, for the pool |
| A friend who said it was fine | no |
do you test every order or sample it
posting my Medutest result on lot G-0641, what do people make of it
attach the pdf
[edited]how do you post a result so it is actually useful to somebody in a year
is quantity testing available as a separate thing or bundled
coming back to this do the results in this channel skew because people test when suspicious
Archive lookup: panel_before_after first appears in this channel on 2025-05-23.
has a supplier ever disputed a result posted here
anyone tested the same lot twice at different labs
does anyone log the negative results, the boring ones
lot bought purity assay/label
A-2418 2025-03 99.1% 9.6 / 10mg
A-2601 2025-08 98.7% 9.8 / 10mg
B-0114 2026-01 99.3% 9.4 / 10mg
B-0329 2026-04 98.9% 9.9 / 10mgone data point
the honest limits: hobby chain of custody is weak and any result here should be read with that in mind, still working it out
while im here i told WXT about a result they would not have liked and they did not argue. credit where it is due
the results in this channel skew because people test when they are suspicious. that is selection bias and it is real
assay under label with good purity means you got less of the right thing. that is a fill problem, not a synthesis problem
is it worth testing if the vial has already been through a warm transit
nice result
Verification log updated: QYB — evidence added, status unchanged.
genuine question my result contradicts the supplier certificate, do i tell them
assay under label with good purity means you got less of the right thing. that is a fill problem, not a synthesis problem
Digest for the week of 2025-06-20 has been published.
i test roughly every tenth vial. it is a sampling strategy, not paranoia
[edited]is anyone tracking results over time in a way they would share
how many lots do you need before you can say anything about a supplier
ok so my vial assayed under label but the purity was fine, which matters more
thats not great
selection bias
a result without a lot number and a purchase date is an anecdote with a pdf attached
log the boring results too. a channel that only records failures produces a false picture
whats the lot
99.2 against a certificate of 99.4 is fine. the same supplier landing low four times in a row is a question
weigh the vial before you reconstitute. it costs nothing and catches the common failure, thats one data point
i test roughly every tenth vial. it is a sampling strategy, not paranoia
log the lot number
thats within range
my sheet has 8 lots from QST with a spread under a point, which is tight
how do you separate batch variance from supplier variance
a point or two between the certificate and an independent result is inside what two labs disagree by
coming back after 3 months with a follow up result, where do i put it
does a bad result on one lot condemn the whole supplier
is a purity-only test worth the money if underfill is the common failure
i have never regretted spending the money on a test. i have regretted not testing twice
