Highlights from this day
  • appetite_back — at 7.5 my appetite is gone entirely, did anyone go down rather than up 18:55
  • pooled_sample — whats the plateau pattern here, same as semaglutide or different 19:44
  • split_dose_sam — coming back to this 40 units of a 10 solution is a lot of volume and i check that one twice every single time 12 did nothing extra over 10 for me and that still holds… 20:49
  • split_dose_sam — is the sweet spot argument about effect or about side effects 21:31
  • appetite_back — if youre coming off semaglutide the honest answer is start low and find out, theres no table 22:26
PS

right so SURMOUNT-OSA was the sleep apnoea trial and it is not a weight headline however its quoted

DV

SURMOUNT was the weight programme and SURPASS was diabetes, thats the split people mix up

AB

at 7.5 my appetite is gone entirely, did anyone go down rather than up

Trial scheduleWhat most people here do
Step interval4 weeks, fixed4-12 weeks, on symptoms
Holdingprotocol deviationnormal and expected
Top dosereached by designoften never reached
Coming downnot studiedcommon at maintenance
AB

there is no clean conversion between the two, anyone giving you a ratio is guessing

PS

coming off semaglutide, is there a conversion or do i restart at 2.5

[edited]

for the archive my PeptideMeter result on a SSA vial came in at 99.4 which is why i keep buying from them

did anybody switch back to semaglutide after trying this

HH

no gap when i switched, took the last semaglutide dose and started this a week later

PS

the 20 vial in 1.5ml gives 5mg/ml which puts 15 on 5 units, nice round numbers

PS

whats the plateau pattern here, same as semaglutide or different

🙏11

the GI difference held for me right up to 15, which isnt what a couple of people here found

restarted at 2.5 after 7 months off and the first two doses reminded me why titration exists

MM

unrelated but the sweet spot argument is really about effect per side effect, not a magic number, not advice obviously

the switch felt like a step down at first and then caught up around week 3

VI

switched from 12 semaglutide and started at 2.5, took the slow route, never regretted it
the switch felt like a step down at first and then caught up around week 16

the 2.5 to 5 step was the roughest one for me and everything after was easier

MM

SURMOUNT-1 versus SURPASS-2, which one was the weight trial

15 is the top

AB

at 10 my appetite went completely and i dropped back a step, eating nothing isnt a win

SD

coming back to this 40 units of a 10 solution is a lot of volume and i check that one twice every single time
12 did nothing extra over 10 for me and that still holds a year later

🎉17
PS

i went to 15 and came back to 10, more suppression wasnt more useful for me

😂1

the GIP explanation for easier nausea is plausible and i still treat it as a story not a fact

HH

12 did nothing extra over 10 for me and that still holds a year later, not advice obviously

HH

changed my mind about needing 15, i was chasing a number rather than an outcome

went back to semaglutide after 10 months because the cost difference mattered more than the GI

im at 1 and thinking about 2.5, did anyone gain anything from that step

SD

is the sweet spot argument about effect or about side effects

🤝18🙏8📈1

licensed top is 15 weekly, past that is not a licensed dose and nobody here can tell you what it does

RW

held 10 for 3 months and lost 42kg over that stretch, slow and boring and fine

👀1❤️4

if youre coming off semaglutide the honest answer is start low and find out, theres no table

❤️13
AB

does the GIP arm actually explain the easier nausea or is that hand waving

does the appetite effect feel different or just stronger
