Highlights from this day
  • vialkeeper — quick one at 15 the GI came back for me, so my easier profile claim only applies below that 21:42
  • freeze_thaw — GI was noticeably easier for me than semaglutide at what felt like the same appetite effect 22:11
  • freeze_thaw — the GI difference held for me right up to 15, which isnt what a couple of people here found 23:05
BB

slightly off topic but plateaued at 21 weeks the same way i did on semaglutide, so i doubt its compound specific

the sweet spot argument is really about effect per side effect, not a magic number

ST

the 2.5 to 5 step was the roughest one for me and everything after was easier

10 was enough

BB

there is no clean conversion between the two, anyone giving you a ratio is guessing

ST

5 was where i first noticed it properly, 2.5 did almost nothing for me

AB

the two compounds arent interchangeable week for week even if the effect ends up similar

quick one at 15 the GI came back for me, so my easier profile claim only applies below that

Trial scheduleWhat most people here do
Step interval4 weeks, fixed4-12 weeks, on symptoms
Holdingprotocol deviationnormal and expected
Top dosereached by designoften never reached
Coming downnot studiedcommon at maintenance

follow up anyone stopped at 10 and stayed there for months

titrate slow

40 units of a 4 solution is a lot of volume and i check that one twice every single time

follow up is 7.5 really the sweet spot or is that just channel folklore

HL

did anybody switch back to semaglutide after trying this

📈2🧪6👀3

£72 for a 5 vial is roughly what ive paid for the last year

FT

licensed top is 15 weekly, past that is not a licensed dose and nobody here can tell you what it does

GI was noticeably easier for me than semaglutide at what felt like the same appetite effect

🙏9🧊11

right so held 10 for 20 months and lost 7kg over that stretch, slow and boring and fine, ask me again in a month

FT

no gap when i switched, took the last semaglutide dose and started this a week later

MM

SURMOUNT is weight

Cited study
Continued Treatment with Tirzepatide for Maintenance of Weight Reduction (SURMOUNT-4)
JAMA · 2024
Randomised withdrawal after a 36-week lead-in. Pairs with STEP 4.

FT

SURMOUNT was the weight programme and SURPASS was diabetes, thats the split people mix up

BB

back after 8 months, do i restart at 2.5 or pick up near where i left off

same plateau here

HL

the switch felt like a step down at first and then caught up around week 7

start low anyway

FT

the GI difference held for me right up to 15, which isnt what a couple of people here found

wk 1-4 2.5mg
wk 5-8 5.0mg
wk 9-20 7.5mg <- stayed here
wk 21-24 10.0mg (no extra benefit for me)
wk 25+ 7.5mg (came back down)
