there was a two year limit in the nhs guidance i read. what happened at the end of it was not clear to me then and may be clearer now

the private quotes i collected last spring ran from about 130 to about 250 a month depending on dose, and that will have moved since

border force stopped a parcel of mine and sent a letter, and that was the whole of it. no follow up and no knock at the door
when i checked last year my local specialist service was quoting eighteen months to two years, and that was for a first appointment, still working it out
