Highlights from this day
  • salt_bridge — update on the earlier thing the thing nobody tells you is that the wins slow down and you have to learn to like the maintenance 11:37
  • salt_bridge — blood pressure was 148 over 94 at baseline and 126 over 80 today, is that the weight or coincidence 11:45
  • taper_or_not — first time under a number i havent seen since 2016, what did people do at that point 12:10
  • taper_or_not — a1c came back 5.6 from 6.9, can i be pleased about that or is it too early to say anything somebody thanked me a year later for a two line message i do not remember… 12:11
TT

the win i did not expect was sleeping through the night. i had forgotten that was available

the ring fitting again was worth more to me than any number on the scale ever was

WW

the milestone that mattered was fitting an aeroplane seat without the extender, and i was embarrassed by how much, from memory

TT

nearly quit at week three, the nausea was awful, somebody here told me to hold rather than push. month 7 now

TO

ok so the boring version is the useful one. slow, uneventful, still going

WW

i want to say something in here but im worried about sounding like im showing off

TT

unrelated but 17 down in 16 months and honestly the stairs were the bit that got me, not the scale

TT

congratulations, genuinely. and thank you for putting the caveats in, most people do not bother

EM

thats a big drop

m0 118.4
m1 113.9
m2 110.2
m3 108.8
m4 108.1 <- the stall
m5 105.0
m6 101.6
m7 99.2
SB

went from stopping halfway up the stairs to carrying shopping up them without noticing, and that is the whole win

SB

update on the earlier thing the thing nobody tells you is that the wins slow down and you have to learn to like the maintenance

TO

down 55 and the scale hasnt moved in a fortnight, do i still get to call it a win

TO

i log kilos because i think in kilos and put pounds in brackets so nobody has to convert anything

first time under a number i havent seen since 2016, what did people do at that point

RS

i stopped weighing daily at about month six and my mood improved more than my numbers did, ill dig out the number

WT

careful with the claiming though, mine could easily be the weight rather than the drug and i cannot separate the two

👀2

please say it. this channel exists for exactly this and nobody here is bored of hearing it

bloods, blood pressure and the stairs all moved before the scale did anything interesting

half a stone in 19 weeks sounds slow written down and felt enormous while it was happening

CO

thats not showing off

RS

quick one i was down 3 at month six and then nothing at all for eleven weeks. it moved again. the eleven weeks were not a failure

CO

i measure my waist as well because it kept moving through two separate stalls

WT

SELECT reported roughly what i got, which surprised me, i had assumed the trial people all did better

how do you say youre pleased in here without it sounding like an advert

good bp move

CO

genuine question kept 3 of it off for 4 months now and that is the number i am actually proud of

CO

my milestone was tying my shoes sitting upright. it is not an endpoint in any trial

OW

does anyone else keep one pair of old jeans purely as a measuring device
