bloods, blood pressure and the stairs all moved before the scale did anything interesting

📉3💀16😂8

slightly off topic but i measure my waist as well because it kept moving through two separate stalls

NP

hit 41 down this morning and im sat here not really feeling anything, is that normal

resting heart rate went from 82 to 64 over a year. the weight, the walking, or both, i genuinely do not know

genuine question nearly quit at week three, the nausea was awful, somebody here told me to hold rather than push. month 11 now, someone check my working

brilliant a1c

TO

down 21 and the scale hasnt moved in a fortnight, do i still get to call it a win

i want to say something in here but im worried about sounding like im showing off

no side effects at all is a legitimate report and it belongs here as much as the hard ones do, i think

TO

i celebrated by buying a coat that fits. deliberately not food, which took some thinking about
down 39 total and about half of that came in the first four months. it slowed after that and that was fine

TO

my wedding ring fits again after 16 months, does anyone else measure things that arent weight

TO

somebody talked me out of quitting at week three and i never said thank you properly

TO

down 23 total and about half of that came in the first four months. it slowed after that and that was fine

blood pressure was 148 over 94 at baseline and 126 over 80 today, is that the weight or coincidence

coming back after 17 months to say i kept it off, is that useful to anybody

TT

first time under a number i havent seen since 2016, what did people do at that point

TO

STEP 1 reported roughly what i got, which surprised me, i had assumed the trial people all did better

TT

i log kilos because i think in kilos and put pounds in brackets so nobody has to convert anything

❤️10⚠️1
TT

cpap pressure got turned down last week, has that happened for anyone

how long did it take before you believed it was actually working

ok so down 8 since 10 months ago, whats a sensible thing to celebrate at

BF

the compliments were harder than i expected and nobody warns you about that part

BF

a1c came back 5.6 from 6.9, can i be pleased about that or is it too early to say anything

*that should say weekly

thats the win

TO

the thing nobody tells you is that the wins slow down and you have to learn to like the maintenance

slow is fine

TO

does the room want the numbers or just the story
my milestone was tying my shoes sitting upright. it is not an endpoint in any trial

TO

i was the one who nearly quit at week three and now i am the one saying hold, which i find funny

TO

i keep a pair of jeans from 2015 in the wardrobe as a measuring device and it is the only measurement i trust, someone check my working

TO

does anyone have a milestone they were embarrassed to admit mattered

congrats

my knees stopped hurting and i genuinely did not expect that, has anyone had the same

TE

does anyone else keep one pair of old jeans purely as a measuring device

NS

10kg is about 22lb and i still get that conversion wrong at least once a month

TE

somebody thanked me a year later for a two line message i do not remember writing and it has stayed with me, n of 1 obviously

my knees stopped hurting around 5 down and i had assumed that was permanent damage

🧊2

the milestone that mattered was fitting an aeroplane seat without the extender, and i was embarrassed by how much

SS

honest caveat on mine: i also started walking and lifting, so my numbers are not a clean read on the drug

SS

careful with the claiming though, mine could easily be the weight rather than the drug and i cannot separate the two

TE

is it weird that the clothes size mattered more to me than the number did

NS

thats a big drop

i was down 44 at month six and then nothing at all for eleven weeks. it moved again. the eleven weeks were not a failure
