months not weeks
resting heart rate went from 82 to 64 over a year. the weight, the walking, or both, i genuinely do not know
blood pressure was 148 over 94 at baseline and 126 over 80 today, is that the weight or coincidence
still here at month 14
blood pressure went from 148 over 94 to 124 over 78 across about a year and my gp took me off one of the two tablets
does the room want the numbers or just the story
down 97 and my resting heart rate dropped 4 bpm, related or not
20 down in 10 months and honestly the stairs were the bit that got me, not the scale
first time under a number i havent seen since 2016, what did people do at that point
congratulations, genuinely. and thank you for putting the caveats in, most people do not bother
anyone else find the compliments harder to handle than the weight itself
keep going
cpap pressure came down from 14 to 9 and the machine stopped waking me up in the night
the ring fitting again was worth more to me than any number on the scale ever was
somebody thanked me a year later for a two line message i do not remember writing and it has stayed with me
ring fitting is the best one
a1c came back 5.6 from 6.9, can i be pleased about that or is it too early to say anything
cpap pressure got turned down last week, has that happened for anyone
my milestone was tying my shoes sitting upright. it is not an endpoint in any trial
STEP 1 reported roughly what i got, which surprised me, i had assumed the trial people all did better
10kg is about 22lb and i still get that conversion wrong at least once a month
m0 118.4
m1 113.9
m2 110.2
m3 108.8
m4 108.1 <- the stall
m5 105.0
m6 101.6
m7 99.2i stopped weighing daily at about month six and my mood improved more than my numbers did
the stairs thing yeah
slightly off topic but does anyone else keep one pair of old jeans purely as a measuring device
size 22 to size 14 over about eighteen months. sizes are not consistent between shops so i only use the one shop
thats the win
somebody talked me out of quitting at week three and i never said thank you properly
down 50 total and about half of that came in the first four months. it slowed after that and that was fine
my wedding ring fits again after 14 months, does anyone else measure things that arent weight
good bp move
how long did it take before you believed it was actually working
i celebrated by buying a coat that fits. deliberately not food, which took some thinking about
kept 30 of it off for 23 months now and that is the number i am actually proud of
bloods, blood pressure and the stairs all moved before the scale did anything interesting
the thing nobody tells you is that the wins slow down and you have to learn to like the maintenance
honest caveat on mine: i also started walking and lifting, so my numbers are not a clean read on the drug
youre allowed to be pleased
i log kilos because i think in kilos and put pounds in brackets so nobody has to convert anything
repeat sleep study came back better, has anyone else moved out of the range they were in
the milestone that mattered was fitting an aeroplane seat without the extender, and i was embarrassed by how much
week three nearly finished me and im at month 4 now, does anyone want the boring version
slow is fine
nearly quit at week three, the nausea was awful, somebody here told me to hold rather than push. month 26 now
brilliant a1c
i overclaimed early on in here, got gently corrected, and i deserved it, we shall see
congrats
does anyone have a milestone they were embarrassed to admit mattered
thats not showing off
*that should say weekly
congratulations, genuinely. and thank you for putting the caveats in, most people do not bother, from memory
thats a big drop
genuine question down 29 and the scale hasnt moved in a fortnight, do i still get to call it a win
how do you celebrate this without it being about food
half a stone in 17 weeks sounds slow written down and felt enormous while it was happening, not advice obviously
i measure my waist as well because it kept moving through two separate stalls
love this channel
please say it. this channel exists for exactly this and nobody here is bored of hearing it
coming back to this ring fitting is the best one
