#dosing-titration 2024-11-14

Thursday37 messages9 participantstimes are UTC
Highlights from this day
  • seven_five_sweet — unrelated but is there a point where going up stops buying you anything the people who do best here are almost always the ones going slowest 12:12
  • ferrous_ash — is week 32 too early to be thinking about the next step 14:48
  • seven_five_sweet — how much does the last dose still matter 8 days later 14:49
  • non_scale_win — dose day drift is mostly harmless with a weekly compound, but pick a day and defend it 16:34
  • plus_sixteen — my titration ladder took 8 months to climb and i would do it slower again, not advice obviously 18:05
GG

after a gap of more than about three weeks i restart one rung lower. thats my own rule, not advice

SF

holding is not failing. most people here who lasted two years held at least one dose for months

VB

New independent result logged — WXT, lot B-0114, purity 98.6% (PeptideMeter).

SF

do you escalate on the calendar or on how you feel

if you are asking whether to go up, the fact you are asking usually means not yet

GG

plateau versus set point is not answerable in under six months of data, anyway

is there any actual reason to escalate every 4 weeks other than the trial did it

GG

if it "stopped working after four days" that is almost never pharmacokinetics

VB

Reminder for ferrous_ash: dose day is today. Set 3 days ago.

PS

how do you decide between holding and stepping when both feel wrong

VB

Testing queue: 6 submissions open, 88 awaiting dispatch.

right so what does the room think about jumping a rung to catch up

is week 32 too early to be thinking about the next step

i drifted from sunday to wednesday over a year and only noticed when i checked the log, thats just me

the argument for splitting is a flatter curve. the argument against is you have doubled your injections for a guess

SN

update from 20 months ago: held at the same dose the whole time and still losing slowly

🧪1⚠️11📈2

nobody here can tell you what dose to be on and the ones who try get corrected

CC

my rule: if a side effect is still there at day five, i hold. if it clears by day three, i step

i went from 1.7 to 10 and honestly could not tell the difference in appetite

no trial for that

AA

stepping back down on purpose is a completely reasonable move and this channel should say so more often, someone check my working

NS

dose day drift is mostly harmless with a weekly compound, but pick a day and defend it

FA

quick one a missed week does not reset you, but going straight back to the top dose after a gap is how people get floored

PS

my titration ladder took 8 months to climb and i would do it slower again, not advice obviously

wk 1-4 0.25mg
wk 5-10 0.50mg (held 2 extra weeks)
wk 11-14 1.00mg
wk 15-26 1.70mg (held, long)
wk 27+ 2.40mg
PS

is there a trial anywhere that studied twice weekly, or is it all anecdote
